AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES FS-
TABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; FSTASLISHING A
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON A PART OF LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 317,
ON PROPERTY SEI.ONGING TO O. L. RAINEY AND W. A. COSTON, SO AS
TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DFSIGNATED AS AN
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A) AND A ONE-FAMILY DWEi,LING DISTRICT
NO. 2(SF-2), AND ESTABLISHING A ONE-FAMILY DWEL,LING DISTRICT
NO. 2(SF-2) ON A PART OF LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 317, ON PROPERTY
BELONGING TO O. L. RAINEY AND W. A. COSTON, SO AS TO INCLUDE
THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL
DISTRICT (A) ; AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIFS OF THE COMMEFZCIAL
DISTRICT (C) AND ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2) SO
ESTABLISHED.
BE IT OR DAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofor e established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby chan ged, and that a
Commercial District (C), be, and the same is hereby established
on a Part of Lot l, City Block 317, on property belonging to
O. L. Rainey and W. A. Coston, so as to include in such Commercial
District (C) the hereinafter described property, which was for-
merly and is presently designated as an Agricultural District (A)
and a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), and that the
boundaries of said Commercial District (C), be, and the same are
hereby established as follows:
Beginnin g at the South West Corner of Lot 1, City
Block 317;
Thence in an Easterly direction 533 feet to the West
Boundary Line of the proposed 35th Street, N. E.;
Thence North with said proposed West Boundary Line
of 35th Street, N. E., 352 feet to a point forcorner,
the same being the proposed South Ea.st Corner of Lot 8,
Block A, of the proposed North Park Estates;
Thence in a North Westerly direction, 542 feet with
the proposed South Boundary Lines of Lots 8, 7, 6, 5, 4,
3, 2 and 1 of Block A, proposed North Park Estates, to a
point in the Ea.st Boundary Line of 34th Street, N. E.;
Thence South with the East Boundary Line of 34th
Street, N. E. , 455 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, an d that a
One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), be, and the sa me is
hereby established on a Part of Lot 1, City Block 317, on pro-
perty belonging to O. L. Rainey and W. A. Coston, so as to in-
clude in such One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2) the
hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is pre-
sently designated as an Agricultural District (A), and that the
boundaries of said One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2),
be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
Beginning at a point 455 feet North of the South
West Corner of Lot 1, City Block 317, said point being
in the East Boundary Line of 34th Street, N. E.;
Thence North with said East Boundary Line, 110 feet
to a point, said point lying in the old City Limit Line,
which describes a curve 600 feet outside of the center
line of the outside lane of Loop 286 N. E.;
Thence with said old City Limit Line to a point in
the proposed South Boundary Line of Lot 2, Block A,
North Park Estates;
Thence in a North Westerly direction with the South
Boundary Lines of Lots 2 and 1, Block A, of the pro-
posed North Park Estates to the place of beginning.

Section 3. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinanc e
No. 1710 and the lan d use map accompanying the same, an d in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 12th day of April, 1971.
