AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIFS ES-
TABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; FSTABLISHING A
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON A PART OF LOT 31, CITY BLOCK 259,
ON PROPERTY BEI,ONGING TO ANTHONY E. F. HOWARD, SO AS TO IN-
CLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DFSIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY
DWFLLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2), AND ESTABLISHING A PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD), COMMUNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT, ON A
PART OF LOTS 15, 31 AND 33, CITY BLOCK 259, ON PROPERTY BE-
LONGING TO ANTHONY E. F. HOWARD, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN
TERRITORY FORMIIZLY DFSIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWFLLING DIS-
TRICT NO. 2(SF-2); AND DFSIGNATING THE BOUNDARIFS OF THE
COMMIIZCIAL DISTRICT (C) AND PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (PD),
COMNNNITY UNIT DEVELOPMENT, SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARISI TEXAS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Commercial District (C), be, and the same is hereby established
on a Part of Lot 31, City Block 259, on property belonging to
Anthony E. F. Howard, so as to include in such Commercial Dis-
trict (C) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly
and is presently designated as a One-Family Dwelling District
No. 2(SF-2 and that the bound.a,ries of said Commercial Dis -
trict (C), be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
Beginning at a point in the proposed right of
way line of Highway Loop 286 N. E. at its intersection
with the West Boundary Line of Lot 31, City Block 259;
Thence South 70 degrees East 418 feet with said
proposed right of way line to a point;
Thence South 1 degree west 250 feet to a point for
corner;
Thence West 400 feet to the West Bound.ary Line of
Lot 31, City Block 259;
Thence North 1 degree East with said West Boundary
Line 399 feet to the place of beginning, containing 3
acres, more or less.
Being a Part of Lot 31, City Block 259.
Section 2. That the boundaries heretofore establishe d by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Planned Development District (PD), Community Unit Development,
be, and the same is hereby established on a Part of Lots 15,
31 and 33, City Block 259, on property belonging to Anthony
E. F. Howard, so as to include in such Planned Development
District (PD), Community Unit Development, the hereinafter de-
scribed property, which was formerly and is presently desig-
nated as a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), and that
the boundaries of said Planned Development District (PD),
Community Unit Development, be, and the same are hereby es-
tablished as follows:
Beginning at a point 399 feet South 1 degree West
of the intersection of the West Boundary Line of Lot
31, City Block 259, with the proposed South Right of
Way Line of Loop 286 N. E.;
Thence East 196 feet to a point in the proposed
West Boundary Line of 28th Street, N. E.;
Thence South 1 degree West 322 feet with the pro-
posed West Boundary Line of 28th Street, N. E. to a
point;
Thence North 89 degrees West 120 feet to a point;
Thence South 10 degrees West 548 feet to a point;
Thence North 89 degrees West 475 feet to a point;
Thence North 1 degree West 710 feet to a point;
Thence East 505 feet to a point;
Thence North 1 degree East 155 feet to the place
of beginning, containing 10 acres, more or less.
Being a Part of Lots 15, 31 and 33, City Block
259.
Section 3. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris in accordance with the provisicns of Ordinance
No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 4. All or dinances and p arts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the lOth d.a.y of May, 1971.
