ORDINANCE NO. 2020 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THA,T THE CODE OF ORDINANC ES , CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY ADDING A SECTION TO CHAPTER 29, TRAFFIC CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PIIVALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCFS OR PARTS OF ORDINANCFS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFFCTI VE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1971. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section l. That Chapter 29, Traffic Code, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas, be amended by adding the following section thereto: "Section Regulation of truck traffic. It shall be unlawful for any truck, truck tractor and semi-trailer, or any commercial motor vehicle with a rated capacity of one and one-half (11-2) tons or more according to the manufacturers classification, or the equivalent thereof, being operated as through traffic, to use any route other than Loop Highway 286." Section 2. Through traffic as used herein means traffic originating outside the corporate limits of the City of Paris with a destination outside the corporate limits of the City of Paris, having no legitimate business reason for not using the designated through truck route. Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con- viction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars. Section 4. Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on June 1, 1971.
