ORDINANCE NO. 2058 ORDINANCE CANVASSING_ELECTIUN RETURNS TI-IE STATE OF TEXAS . COUNTY OF I,AMA.R , CITY OF PARIS , WHEREAS, the City Council of said City duly ordered an election to be held in said City on the 16th day of November, 1971, on the PROPOSITION hereinafter stated; and WHEREAS, said City Council has investigated all matters pertaining to said election, including the ordering, giving notice, officers, holding, and making returns of said election; and WHEREAS, the election officers who held said election have duly made the returns of the result thereof, and said returns have been duly delivered to said City Council; and GTHEREAS, it is hereby ofticially found and determined: that a case of emergency or urgent pu'olic necessity exists which requires the holding of the meeting at which this 0 rdinance is passed, such emergency or urgent publie necessity being that the proceeds from the proposed bands are required as soon as possible and without delay for necessary and urgently needed public im- provements; that said meeting was open to the public, and public notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given, a11 as required by Vernon's Anno Civo Sto Article 6252-170 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNTCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS : l, That the City Council ofj'icially .finds and deter- mines that said elect:ion was duly ordered, that proper notice of sazd election was duly givAn, that proper election officers were duly appointed by the City Cauncil prior to said election, that said election was duly held, that due returns of the result of said election have been made and dvlivered, and that the City Council has duly canvassed said retuz-rxs, all in accordance with lawo 2. That the City Council officially finds and deter- mines that the following votes were cast at said electi.on on the PROPOS?TION submitted by resident, qualified electors of said City: PROPOSITION 552 VOTE S : FOR 40 VOTES : AGAIDlST ) ) THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER SYSTEM ) REVENUE BONDS ) 3. That tha City Council officially finds, deter- mxnes and declares the resul_t of said electiozi to be that the Proposition so submitted has received a favorable majority vote and has carried, and that all_ of said bonds may be issued in accordance wi_th law. 4.
