2069 ORD APPROVING CERTAIN RATE SCHEDULES FILED BY TX POWER & LIGHT CO IN COPORDINANCE NO. 2069
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CEFZTAIN RATE SCHEDULFS FILED BY
TEXAS POWER & LIGHT COMPAIVY IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TFXAS, AND
PROVIDING CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SUCH RATE SCHEDULES MAY BE
CHANGED, MODIFIED, AMENDED OR WITHDRAWN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TH E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Texas Power & Light Company, having
filed on the 28th day of December, 1971, its Rate Book No.
W-72-65, containing a set of electric Rate Schedules an d the
Service Regulations referred to therein, with the City Clerk,
the same are hereby approved as Schedules of Rates and
Service Regulations under which said Company is authorized to
collect charges from its customers for the sale of electric
power and energy within the corporate limits of the City until
such time as said Rate Schedules and Service Regulations may
be changed, modified, amended or withdrawn, with the approval
of the City Council, subject, however, to the provisions of
the Economic Stabilization Act of 1970, as amended, and the
Rules and Regulations thereunder.
Section 2. The filing of the Rate Schedules and
Service Regulations, and the approval of same by the City
Cou.ncil, in the manner herein provided, shall constitute
notice to the consumers of electricity, within the City, of
the availability and application of such Rate Schedules an d
Servic e Regulations.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council of Paris, Paris, Texas, this the lOth day of January,
1972.
