2075 ORD AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 CREATING PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS ZONING DISTRICT (PLI)ORDINANCE NO. 2075
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, CREATING A PUBLIC LANDS AND
INSTITUTIONS ZONING DISTRICT (PLI); PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY
NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEEILING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE OF APRIL 11 1972.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be amended as follows:
a. The first sentence of Paragraph 3-100 is amended
to read as follows:
"The City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is hereby divided
into seventeen (17) zoning districts."
b. The third sentence of Paragraph 3-100 is amended
to read as follows:
"The seventeen (17) districts established herein shall
be known as:"
The following district is added to the list of zoning
districts in Paragraph 3-100:
"Abbreviated Zoning District
Designation Name
PLI Public Lands and Institutions District"
Section 2. The following paragraphs of Section 8 are
amended by providing for uses to be made in the Public Lands and
Institutions District as follows:
118-101 PRIMARY RFSIDENTIAL USFS
Public Housing
8-102 SPDCIAL USES
Fairground or Exhibition Area
Park, Playground or Community Center (Public)
Public Airport, Heliport or Landing Field
Public Cemetery or Mausoleum
Public College or University

Public Schools
Public Zoos, Arboretums and Museums
8-103 UTILITY AND SERVICE USFS

Section 3. That Section 9-102(2) of Ordinance No. 1710
be amended by adding "Public Lands and Institutions District, PLI"
as a district and showing "None" as requirements for the listed
uses.
Section 4. That Section 9-201(2) of Ordinance No. 1710
be amended by adding "Public Lands and Institutions District,PLI"
as a district and showing "None Specified" for the listed uses.
Section 5. That Section 9-301 (2) of nrdinance No. 1710
be amended by adding "Public Lands and Institutinns District, PLI"
as a district and showing "None" as a requirement for Minimum
Depth of Lot in Feet for Residential Uses.
Section 6. That Section 9-401(2) of Ordinance No. 1710
be amended by adding "Public Lands and Institutions District,PLI"
as a district and showing "None" in all blocks thereunder.
Section 7. That Section 9-501(2) of Ordinance No. 1710
be amended by adding "Public Lands and Institutions District, PLI"
as a district and showing the Minimum Front Yard in Feet to be

Section 8. That Section 9-502(9) of Ordinance No. 1710
be amended to read as follows:
"In the CA, C, LI, HI and PLI Districts no front yard
is required except that no structure may be erected
nearer than thirty (30) feet to the centerline of any
street upon which such structure fronts."
Section 9. That Section 9-502 of Ordinance No. 1710 be
amended by adding Paragraph 10, as follows:
"Inthe PLI District the front yard shall be no less
than that required by the adjacent district."
Section 10. That Section 9-601(2) of Ordinance No. 1710
be amended by adding "Public Lands and Institutions District, PLI"
as a district, with the requirement as follows:
"For Residential Uses 10 Percent o.f the Width of the
Lot - For Non-Residential Uses None Except as Specified
in 9-602 (8 )Tr
Section 11. That Section 9-602(8) of Ordinance No. 1710
be amended to include in the list of districts "PLI."
Section 12. That Section 9-701(1) and (2) of Ordinance
No. 1710 be amended to include in the list of districts "PLI."
Section 13. That

Section 14. That Section 11-101 of Ordinance No. 1710 be
aznended to add "PLI, Public Lands and Institutions District"
with the following Maximum Height of Buildings and Structures
requirement: "None"
Section 15. That Section 14-102 of Ordinanc e No. 1710 be
amended by adding to such paragraph the following sentence:
"This paragraph shall not be used to limit or restrict develop-
ment according to approved plat plan in a Planned Development
District (PD) or in a Public Lands and Institutions District
(PLI)."
Section 16. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00.
Section 17. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 18. This ordinance shall become effective on
April 1, 1972.
