AN ORDINANC E AMENDING ZONING ORDINANC E NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ES-
TABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI) ON LOT 4, CITY
BLOCK 299, LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 349, LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 350, LOTS
1, 22 4 AND 7, CITY BLOCK 351, LOTS 2 AND 5, CITY SLOCK 352,
AND LOT 6, CITY BLOCK 253-E, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO PARIS
JUNIOR COLLEGE, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY
DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A) AND A ONE-FAMILY
DWFLLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI ) SO FS-
TABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Public Lands and Institutions District (PLI), be, and the same
is hereby established on Lot 4, City Block 299, Lot 2, City
Block 349, Lot 2, City Block 350, Lots l, 22 4 and 7, City
Block 351, Lots 2 and 5, City Block 352, and Lot 6, City Block
253-E, on property belonging to Paris Junior College, so as to
include in such Public Lands and Institutions District (PLI)
the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is
presently designated as an Agricultural District (A) and a
One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), and that the bounda-
ries of said Public Lands an d Institutions District (PLI), be,
and the same are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the City
of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and being Lot 4, City
Block 299, Lot 2, City Block 349, Lot 2, City Block
350, Lots l, 2, 4 and 7, City Block 351, Lots 2 and 5,
City Block 352, and Lot 6, City Block 253-E.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the lOth day of April, 1972.
