AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIFS lES-
TABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) ON A TRACT OF LAND LYING AD-
JACENT TO THE NORTH EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF N. E. LOOP 286, AND
BEING LOT 3 IN CITY BLOCK 317, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO EDMOND
A. PARHAM, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DFSIG-
NATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); AND DESIGNATING THE
BOUNDARIFS OF THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) SO FSTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Light Industrial District (LI), be, and the saxne is hereby es-
tablished on a tract of land lying adjacent to the North East
Boundary Line of N. E. Loop 286, and being Lot 3 in City B:1ock
317, on property belonging to Edmond A. Parham, so as to include
in such Light Industrial District (LI) the hereinafter described
property, which was formerly aid is presently designated as an
Agricultural District (A), and that the boundaries of the said
Light Industrial District (LI), be, and the same are hereby es-
tablished as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the City of
Paris, Lamar County, Texas, a part of the Joseph Leach
and Enoch Crow Surveys, and being a part of a 43.196
acre tract of land conveyed by Harry L. Baker, Jr.,
Et Al, to Cy L. Wright, by deed dated March 15, 1966,
recorded Book 442, Page 410, Deed Records, Lamar County,
Texas.
Beginning at the most Westerly North West Corner of
said Wright tract of land, the same being in the East
Boundary Line of Loop 286;
Thence South 88 Degrees, 30 Minutes East, a distance
of 600 feet;
Thence South 22 Degrees, 9 Minutes East, 295 feet;
Thence South 21 Degrees, 55 Minutes Ea,st, 100 feet;
Thence South 19 Degrees, 58 Minutes East, 73 feet to
a point;
Thence West 600 feet to a stake for corner in the
Ea.st Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286;
Thence along the Ea.st Boundary Line of Loop 286 as
follows: North 19 Degrees, 58 Minutes West, a distance
of 73 feet; North 21 Degrees, 55 Minutes West, a distance
of 100 feet; North 22 Degrees, 09 Minutes West, a dis-
tance of 295 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 12th day of May, 1969.
