1911 ORD AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 AND CHANGING BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY ESTABLISHING GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO EFFIE RUSSELLORDINANC E NO. 1911 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ES- TABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; FSTABLISHING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) ON A TRACT OF LAND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CLARKSVILLE STREET AND THE WEST SIDE OF 24TH STREET, S. E., BEING A PART OF LOT 1, LOT 2, AND A PART OF LOT 5, IN BLOCK 2 OF THE STELLROSE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PARIS, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO EFFIE RUSSELL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIFS OF THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) SO ESTABLISHED; AND PLACING THE PROPERTY HEREIN INVOL VED IN THE FIR E LIMITS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a General Retail Ii3trict (GR), be, and the same is hereby es- tablished on a tract of land on the North Side of Clarksville Street and the West Side of 24th Street, S. E., being a part of Lot l, Lot 2, and a part of Lot 5, in Block 2 of the Stellrose Addition to the City of Paris, on property belonging to Effie Russell, so as to include in such General Retail District (GR) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), and that the boundaries of the said General Retail District (GR), be, and the same are hereby es- tablished as follows: Situated in Lamar County, Texas, a part of the George W. Cox Survey, within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, and being a part of Lots 1, 2 and 5 in Block 2 of the Stellrose Addition to the City of Paris; BEGINNING at the intersection of the North Boundary Line of Clarksville Street with the West Boundary Line of 24th St. S.E.; THENCE NORTH with the West Boundary Line of 24th St. S.E., 232.3 feet a stake, B. P. Denney's Southeast corner; THENCE WEST with B. P. Denney's South Boundary Line, 128.8 feet, Denney's Southwest corner; THENC E SOUTH 173.4 feet a stake in the North Boundary Line of Clarks ville Street; THENCE S. 650 30 Min. Ea,st with the North Boundary Line of Clarksville Street, 140.2 feet, to the place of beginning. LESS that portion out of the Southeast corner thereof heretofore zoned by the City of Paris for commercial purposes and presently occupied by a Gulf Service Station. Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. That the above described property shall be and is hereby placed in the Fire Limits of the City of Paris. Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective imme- diately upon passage. Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 9th day of June, 1969. r R. A.
