AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINL3NCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIFS FSTABLISHED
BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; FSTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT (C) ON A TRACT OF LAND FRONTING 480 FEET ON THE NORTH
SIDE OF LOOP 286 N. E., AND BEING A PART OF LOT l, CITY BLOCK
3211 ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO H. M. HINDMAN AND R. A. GIFFORD,
SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); AND DFSIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF
THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C ) SO FSTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a Commercial
District (C), be, and the same is hereby established on a tract of
land fronting 480 feet on the North Side of Loop 286 N. E., and
being a part of Lot 1, City Block 321, on property belonging to
H. M. Hindman and R. A. Gifford, so as to include in such
Commercial District (C) the hereinafter described property, which
was formerly and is pr esently deisgnated as an Agricultural
District (A), and that the boundaries of the said Commercial
District (C), be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the Corporate Limits of the City of
Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a part of
the Redding Russell Survey and being a part of a 19.996
acre tract of land conveyed Russell A. Gifford and
Herman M. Hindman by deed recorded in Vol. 364, Page
503, of the Deed Records of said County and State.
Beginning at a stake for corner in the North
Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286, said point being
Southeasterly a distance of 591.7 ft. from the Southwest
corner of said Gifford and Hindman tract of land as
measured along the North Boundary Line of said Loop
Highway.
Thence North 29 Deg. 15 Min.Fast a distance of 304
ft. to a stake for corner;
Thence North a distance of 190 ft. to a stake for
corner;
Thence East along the South Boundary Line of Spur
Highway 139 a distance of 365 ft. to a stake for
corner;
Thence South 7 Deg. West a distance of 631 ft. to a
stake for corner;
Thence along the North Bou.ndary Line of Loop Highway
286 as follows: North 75 Deg. 30 Min. West a distance
of 200 ft. to a concrete marker; Westerly along a curve
to the right a distance of 280 ft. to the place of
beginning and containing 5 acres of land.
Being the South 480 feet of Lot 1, City Block 321.
Section 2. That the City IIigineer of the City of Paris, be,
and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of
Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and
the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with
the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinance and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris
in regular session con vened in the Council Room, City Hall,
Paris, Texas, on this the 13th day of October, 1969.
