AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIFS ESTABLISHEU
BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL
DISTRICT (LI) AND ANIMAL SLAUGHTERING PLANT (S) ON LOT 5, CITY
BLOCK 251A, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO PARIS FOOD PROCFSSING, INC.,
SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DFSIGNATED AS A LIGHT

ESTABLISHED; AND PLACING CONDITIONS THEREON.
SE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a Light
Industrial District (LI) and Animal Slaughtering Plant (S), be,
and the same is hereby established on Lot S, City Block 251A, on
property belonging to Paris Food Processing, Inc., so as to in-
clude in such Light Industrial District (LI) and Animal
Slaughtering Plant (S) the hereinafter described property, which
was formerly and is presently designated as a Light Industrial
District, and that the boundaries of the said Light Industrial
District (LI) and Animal Slaughtering Plant (S), be, and the same
are hereby established as follows:
A part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake in the Northern Boundary Line of
the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way,
said point being in the WB line of North Main Street and
22.5 feet North of the center line of said Railroad track;
THENCE South 70 deg. 03 min. West parallel to and 22.5
feet North of the center line of said Railroad track
768.5 feet, an iron pin in the EB line of 3rd Street N.W.;
THENC E with the EB line of 3rd Street N.W. North 2 deg.
07 min. West 186.5 feet, an iron pin;
THENCE North 70 deg. 06 min. Ea.st 777.4 feet, a brass
marker in concrete in the WB line of North Main Street;
THENC E with the WB line of North Main Street South 0
deg. 31 min. West 188.8 feet to the place of beginning.
Being Lot 5, City Block 251A.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris,
be,, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No.
1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accord-
ance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. The Animal Slaughtering Plant (S) established
herein is subject to the Director of Public Works' requirements
enumerated in his memorandum addressed to the City Attorney
dated November 4, 1969, the original of which is attached to the
original of the Minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission
dated November 13, 1969, and subject to the Paris-Lamar County
Health Department's requirements enumerated in that Department's
memorandum addressed to the City Attorney, dated November 5, 1969,
the original of which is attached to the original of the Minutes
of the Planning and Zoning Commission dated November 13, 1969.
Section 4. Al1 ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 17th day of November, 1969.
