AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,-AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIFS ESTABLISHED
BY THE ZONING-MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A LIGH'j' INDUSTRIAL
DISTRICT (LI ) AND ANIMA-L -SLAUGHTERING PLAlaTT AND SMOKE COOKING
OPERATION (S) ON LOT-17, CITY BLOCK 251A, AND LOTS 12 AND 13 OF
HF,1V'KY SMITH SDCOND ADDITION TO- THE CITY OF PARIS, ON PROPERTY
BELONGING TO B-TEX PAGKING COMPANY, SO AS-TO INCLUDE THEREIN
TERRITORY FORA'IERLY DFSIGNATED AS A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
(LI DFSIGNATING THE BOUNI]4RIFS OF THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
(LI ) AND ANIMAL SLAUGHTEZING PLANT AND SMOKE COOKING OPERATION
(S) SO FSTABLISHED; AND PLACING CONDITIONS THEREON.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TFXAS:
Section l. That the boundaries her Etofore establishe d by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Light Industrial District (LI) and Animal Slaughtering Plant and
Smoke Cooking Operation (S), be, and the same is hereby es-
tablished on Lot 17, City Block 251A, and Lots 12 and 13 of
Henry Smith Second Addition to the City of Paris, on property
belonging to B-Tex Packing Company, so as to include in such.
Light Industrial District (LI) and Animal Slaughtering Plant and
Smoke Cooking Oper.ation (S) the hereinafter described property,
which was formerly and is presently designated as a Light
Industrial District (LI), and that the boundaries of the said
Light Industrial District (LI) and Animal Slaughtering Plant and
Smoke Cooking Operation (S),_be, and the same are hereby es-
tablished as follows:
FIRST TRACT:
Lot Seventeen (17) in City of Paris Assessment
Block No. Tnro hundred fifty-one A(251A).
SBCOND TRACT:
Lot 'I`welve (12) of the Henry Smith Second Addition to
the City of Paris, a part of the Redding Russell Survey,
according to map or plat of such addition recorded in
Book 1, Page 162, Lamar County Plat Records.
THIRD TRACT:
A.part of the Redding Russell Survey and of Lot
Thirteen (13) of the Henry Smith Second Addition to the
City of Paris, according to map or plat of such addition
recorded in Book 1, Page 162, Lamar County Plat Records,
described by-metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake in the SB line of Center Avenue
at the-NE corner of said Lot 13;_
THF,NCE West with the SB line of Center Avenue 82 feet,
more or less, to the NE corner of a lot conveyed to
William N. Brackeen by deed recorded in Book 312, Page
121, Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE South 300 feet, a stake in the SB line of said
Lot 13;
THENCE Ea.st wzth its SB line 80 feet to its SE corner;
THENCE North 3 deg. Ea.st with the EB line of Lot 131
300 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No.
1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accord-
ance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. The Animal Slaughtering Plant and Smoke Cooking
Operation (S) established herein is subject to the Director of
Public Works' requirements enumerated in his memorandum addressed
to the City Attorney dated November 4, 1969, the original of
which is attached to the original of the Minutes of the Planning
and Zoning Commission dated November 13, 1969, and subject to the
Paris-Lamar County Health Department's requirements enumerated
in that Department's memorandum addressed to the City Attorney,
dated November 5, 1969, the original of which is attached to the
original of the Minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission
dated November 13, 1969.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 17th day of November, 1969.
