AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PARIS
ORDINANCE NO. 1315, AS AMENDED BY CITY OF PARIS ORDINANC E NO.
16192 ESTABLISHING RULES AND R EGULATIONS GOVERNING PLATS AND THE
SUBDIVISION OF LAND TO ALL OF THE AREA UNDER THE EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS; PROVI'DING THAT A
VIOLATION OF THE ORDIIVEINCE IN SUCH AREA OF EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION SHALL NOT BE A MISDEMEANOR NOR SHALL ANY FINE BE
APPLICABLE; AND PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT OF SUCH ORDINANCE BY
INJUNCTION IN THE DISTRICT COURT.
WHEREAS, the Municipal Annexation Act, Article 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, authorizes any city to extend the
application of its ordinance establishing rules and regulations
governing plats and the subdivision of land to all o.f the area
under its extraterritorial jurisdiction as defined in such Act;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT OR DAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS :
Section 1. Ordinance No. 1315, passed and adopted on the
8th day of March, 1954, establishing rules and regulations
governing plats and the subdivision of land, and entitled:
AN ORDINANCE PRFSCRIBING RULES AND REGiILATIONS GOVERNING
PLATS, PLANS AND SUBDIVISIONS OF LAND WITHIN THE COR-
PORATE LIMITS AND WITHIN FIVE (5) MILFS OF THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS; CONTAINING CERTAIN DEFINI-
TIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PRFLIMINARY PLAT, A FINAL PLAT,
AND PROVIDING FOR FINAL APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISIONS BY
SDCTIONS; PRESCRIBING R EGULATIONS FOR STREETS, SIDEWALKS,
ALLEYS, CURB AND GUTTER, SANITARY SEWERS AND 4JATER MAINS,
STORM SEWERS AND OTHIIZ DRAINAGE STRUCTURES, PUBLIC UTILI-
TIES, PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY OF
NOT LESS THAN TWO I-iU1VDRED ($200.00) DOLLARS FOR EACH
VIOLATION THEREOF; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
as amended by Ordinance No. 1619, passed and adopted on the 18th
day of February, 1963, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANC E NO. 1315 - THE
SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS - AMENDING
SFCTION VII - A-6, STREET GRADES; AMENDING SDCTION
VII - A-7, STREET AND ALLEY CROWNS; AMENDING SDCTION
VIII - C-1, STREET BASES; AMENDING SDCTION VIII - D-1p
STR EET SURFACING - LOCAL AND COLLDCTOR STR EETS; AND
AMENDING SDCTION VIII - D-2, STREET SURFACING -
ARTERIAL STREETS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN F,,FFECTIVE DATE
is hereby extended in its application to include all of the area
within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris,
Texas. The provisions of such ordinance shall have the same
force and eff ect within said area of extraterritorial jurisdic-
tion as within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas,
except as provided in Sections 2 and 3 of this ordinance.
Section 2. No violation of any provision of such Ordinance
No. 1315, as amended by Ordinance No. 1619, outside the corporate
limits of the City of Paris, but within such City's extraterri-
torial jurisdiction, shall constitute a misdemeanor under such
ordinance, nor shall any fine provided for in such ordinance be
applicable to a violation within such area of extraterritorial
jurisdiction.
