AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIFS ESTABLISHED
BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT (PD), HOUSING DEVELOPMENT, ON LOT l, CITY BLOCK 98, ON
PROPERTY BII,ONGING TO WRAY WIBLE, SO AS TO INCLUDE THIIZEIN TERRI-
TORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI); AND
DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF TH E PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
(PD), HOUSING DEVEI.OPMENT, SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PAR I S , TEXAS :
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Planned Development District (PD), Housing Development, be, and
the same is hereby established on Lot 1, City Block 98, on pro-
perty belongin g to Wray Wible, so as toinclude in such Planned
Development District (PD), Housing Development, the hereinafter
described property, which was formerly and is presently desig-
nated as a Light Industrial District (LI), and that the bounda-
ries of said Planned Development District (PD), Housing Develop-
ment, be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
Being a tract of land located in the Larkin Rattan
Survey, situated in the corporate limits of Paris,
Texas and being part of the tracts of land conveyed
to E. P. Reece and Lawrence McDowell as recorded in
Volume 403, Page 318 of the Deed Records of Lamar
County, Texas, and being more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the South line of
Henderson Street (a 35-foot right-of-way at this point)
with the East line of N. W. Seventh Street (a 42-foot
right-of-way at this point);
THENCE S 890 16' 20" E. 720.00-feet along the
right-of-way of Henderson Street to a point in a
fence; said point having an iron pin set for corner;
THENCE S 01 0 48' 40" W, 150.58-feet along fence
line to an iron pin set for corner;
THENCE S 880 15' 00" E, 241.36-feet along fence
line to a point in the West line of N. W. Fourth
Street (a 30-foot right-of-way at this point);
THENCE S 000 32' 0017 W, 322.00-feet along said
West right-of-way to a point in the North right-of-way
of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad;
THIIVCE S 71° 34' 001' W, 136.35-feet along said
railroad right-of-way, to an iron pin set for corner;
THFNCE S 18° 17' 0094 E, 151.80-feet along railroad
right-of-way to a railroad raill for corner;
THFNCE S 710 52' 0017 W, 231.90-feet along railroad
right-of-way to the beginning of a curve to the left;
said curve having a central angle of 100 01' 3811, a
radius of 2859.69-feet and a tangent length of 250.88-
feet;
THENCE along said curve to the left, in a South-
westerly direction a distance of 500.47-feet to a
point in the North line of Campbell Street (a 40-foot
ri ght -of -way ) ;
THENCE S 810 40' 001' W, 207.00-feet along the North
right-of-way of Campbell Street to a point in the East
line of N. W. Seventh Street (a 55-foot right-of-way
at this point);
THENCE N 000 46' 1041 E, 975.00-feet along the East
right-of-way of N. W. Seventh Street to the Point of
Beginning and containing 16.755 acres of land.
Being Lot l, City Block 98.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, be,
and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City
of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710
and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance
with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of or dinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris
in regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall,
Paris, Texas, on this the 13th d.a,y of April , 1970.
