AN ORDINANC E ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING
FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 12 1970, AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 1971, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER
OF TH E CITY OF PARIS, APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS
AMOUNTS THEREOF AND REPFALING ALL ORDINANC ES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH,
WHEREAS, the City Manager o.f the City of Paris has submitted
to the City Council a proposed budget of the revenues of said City
and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof and providing a
complete financial plan .for the ensuing fiscal year, beginning
July 1, 1970, and ending June 30, 1971, an d which said proposed
budget has been compiled from detailed information obtained from
the several departments, divisions and offices of said City; and
WHERFAS, the City Council has received said City Manager's
proposed budget, a copy of which proposed budget and all support-
ing schedules have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of
Paris, and is of the opinion that the same should be approved and
adopted and that a public hearing before the City Council has been
provided for as required by Article V, Section 50, of the Charter
of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the proposed budget of the revenues of the
City of Paris, and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof,
providing a complete financial plan .for the ensuing fiscal year
beginning July l, 1970 ana, ending June 30, 1971, as submitted to
the City Council by the City Manager of said City, be, and the
same is in all things adopted and approved as the budget o.f all of
the current expenses as well as the fixed charges against said
City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1970,and ending June 30,
1971.
Section 2. That the sum of $1,436,995.00 is hereby appro-
priated out of the general fund for the payment of operating ex-
penses and capital outlay of the City government, exclusive of
Water and Sewer Departments, as hereina.fter itemized:

Section 3. That the sum of $542,056.00, based on the esti-
mated water and sewer budget, is hereby authorized out of utility
fund revenues for the payment of operating expenses and capital
outlay of Water and Sewer Utility Departments, as hereinafter
itemized:

Section 4. That the sum of $25,177.50 is hereby appropriated
out of the general debt service fund for the purpose of paying the
interest due on general obligation bonds and time warrants, redeem-
ing the serial bonds as they mature, and creating a sinking fund
therefor.
Section 5. The sum of $283,397.30 is hereby appropriated
out of the Water and Sewer Revenue Bond Fund for the purpose of
paying the accrued interest and making the principal payments as
the same mature on the water and sewer revenue bonds, and creat-
ing the prescribed contingent and resexve funds therefor.
Section 6. All ordinances or parts oP ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 7. This ordinance shall be and remain in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the
City Council of the City of Paris.
Read, adopted and approved by the City Council at a special
meeting held at the City Hall in the City of Paris, this 27th d.ay
of April, 1970.
