AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS, REGULATING THE OPERATION OF COMMERCIAL, ENTER-
TAINMENT, RDCREATIONAL OR AMUSEMENT ESTABLISHMENTS, WHEREIN AL-
COHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE SERVED OR CONSUMED; PROVIDING FOR A
1'ENALTY NOT TO FXCEED $200.00-; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFDCTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER l, 1970.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. Closing hours for commercial, entertainment,
recreational or amusement establishments.
It shall be unlawful for any owner, manager or operator
to permit his commercial, entertainment, recreational or amuse-
ment establishment, wherein alcoholic beverages are served or
consumed, to remain open after the hour of 12:15 A. M., Monday
through Saturday morning, and 1:15 A. M. Sunday morning.
Section 2. Penalty.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con-
viction shall be fined in a sum not to exceed Two Hundred
($200.00) Dollars.
Section 3. Repeal o.f conflicting ordinances.
Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Ff:Eective date.
This ordinance shall become effective on October 1, 1970.
Section 5. Uniform numbering.
The provisions of this ordinance shall be included and
incorporated in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris,
Texas, as an addition or amendment thereto, and shall be
appropriately renumbered to conform to the uniform numbering
system of the Code.
