ORDINANGE NO. 1809 . <br />AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LO- <br />CATED IN THE CITY OF PARIS9 TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWN- <br />ERS, AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE MA- <br />TERIALS REMAINING IN THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE <br />AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE ANDI'ROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO <br />THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND OR- <br />DERING SAID RUBBISH, LUMBER, AND REFU5E FROM THE HOUSES TO <br />BE TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES, IN ORDER TO <br />ABATE SUCH NUISANCE. <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was, on the 12th day of December, A. D., <br />1966a called to order by the Mayor of the City of Paris, Richard W. Nafe,, at <br />7:00 oiclock P.M.. in the City Council Room, in the City of Paris, Texas; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard Inspection <br />Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolution referred to the <br />Committee by the City Council on Qctober 10, 1966, and that said Committee <br />fixed said hearing at 10:00 oiclock A, M. 9 on the 21st day of November, A. D., <br />1966, and the hearing was had thereon. That proper notice was given to the <br />owner or owners of the structures located at the following addresses: <br />257 12th Street, N, W. ; <br />608 4th Street, N. E. ; <br />1066 7 1/2th Street, N.E.; <br />944 7 i / ?~cs,+sr-e o+ N N . <br />826 4th Street, N. E. ; <br />1610 West Shiloh Street; <br />1186 8th Street, N. E. <br />That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures involved and in- <br />troduced pictures of the various portions of the structures and various por- <br />tions of the premises involved. That the Committee found that each of the <br />above structures was in such state of deterioration and dilapidation as to <br />create a serious fire hazard to life and property and that each of said build- <br />ings was dilapidated and was dangerous to life and property and dangerous <br />structures to life and property. That said buildings are in such a state of <br />dilapidation and decay that none of said structures are capable of repair. It <br />is further found that the condition of the premises and structures involved <br />were such that the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be <br />declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered by the City <br />Council to tear down and remove the same from the lots involved. That said <br />Committee filed a complete report of its hearing and its findings with the <br />City Clerk of the City of Paris on the 25th day of Novembera A, D., 1966; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has fully heard and considered the testi- <br />mony presented upon the hearing and a complete transcript of the testimony <br />reported by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee; NOW, THEREFORE,, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />
