AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1660,
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON THE 9TH DAY OF DECEMBER„ 1963,
AND AMENDING ARTICLE IIa SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1704, PA55ED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 4, 1964y PROVIDING FIXED FEES
FOR THE COVERING OR BURIAL OF GARBAGE OR REFUSE ATTHE CITY
SANITARY LAND FILL; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH9 PROVIDING A.N EFFECTIVE DATE AND
PROVIDING A MISDEMEANOR FOR EACH VIOLATION,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1660 be and same is hereby deleted
and the following is substituted therefor:
Section 1. It sha11 be unlawful for any person,, firm, or corporatiox~
their agents or employeesy to pick up,, haul, remove from any premisea, any
garbage or refuse, for hire, as garbage is defined in Section 4 of Ordinance
No. 1310, and as refuse is defined in Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1310, without
first having applied to the Director of Public Works of the City of Paris for a
permit for each vehicle to be used in said operation.
That Article II, Section 19 of Ordinance No. 1704, be and same is
hereby deleted and the following is substituted therefor:
Section 2. There is hereby fixed a fee of fifteen cents (15~) per
cubic yard for all garbage and rubbish as defined in Ordinance No. 1704, de-
livered to the Sanitary Land Fill by any person hauling or delivering same for
hir e.
5ection 3. That any person, firm or corporation, its agent or em-
ployees, who violate any section of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor and the penalty therefor shall be a fine not to exceed Two
Hundred ($200. 00) Dollars.
Section 4. AIl ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance sha11 become effective January lg 1967.
