ORDINANCE NO. 1812 . AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1495 OF THE CITY OF PARIS; REGULATING THE SPEED QF MOTOR VEHICLES UPON THE 5TREETS OR HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY OF PARIS, LAMAR COUNTYs TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200. 00 FOR EACH VIOLATION HEREOF; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND ESPECIALLY AMENDING SECTION 3(i~ ON EVERGREEN 5TREET (F. M, 1507). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 3(i) of Ordinance No. 1495, be, and the same is hereby amended as follows: It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or drive any motor or other vehicle at a rate of speed in excess of that specified for the following street and portions thereof: (a) On Farm-to-Market Road No. 1507, beginning at the West Boundary Line of Highway 249 in the South Portion of Paris; Thence East, a distance of 0.423 milesq a speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour; Thence East a distance of 0.300 miles, a speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour; Thence East a distance of 2.571 miles, a speed Iimit of fifty (50) miles per hour, which extends to the East City Limit Line in the City of Paris. All of the above distances are fu.l].y described in the draft of said Highway 1507,, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. Section 2,. Any person vi.olating any of the provisions of this ordi- nance sha]1 be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not exceeding Two Hundred ($200. 00) Dollars. Section 3. A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4, This ordinance shall become effective on and after pub- lication, as required by the Charter of the City of Paris and the laws of the State of Texas.
