AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTIN.; THE MEIYOR TO PUBN
LISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That on the 8th day of May, A,D „ 1967, at 7000
o'clock P,M., in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the
City of Paris, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing
giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on
the proposed annexation by the City of Paris, Texas of the follow»
ing described property:
Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas,
and being a part of the Redding Russell Survey, and being
described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the South East Corner of
property belonging to the John Kraft Sesame Corporation
intersects the North Boundary Line of West Center Street,
in the City of Paris, Texas;
Thence North with the E.B. Line of the Sesame property
to its North East Corner;
Thence West with the N.B. Line of said Sesame property
to the E.B. Line of property belonging to the St. Louis»
San Francisco Railway Company;
Thence North with the E.B. Line of said Railway Right
of Way to where the same intersects the North Boundary
Line of Highway Loop 286;
Thence West with the North Boundary Line of Highway
Loop 286 to the West Boundary Line of the St. Louis»San
Francisco Railway Company Right of Way;
Thence South with the same to the North East Corner of
a tract belonging to Champion Packages Company;
Thence West with the N.B. Line of the Champion Packages
Company to its North West Corner;
Thence South to the North Boundary Line of iniest Center
Street;
Thence East with the N.B. Line of West Center Street to
the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Texas is
hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public
hearing to be published once in the newspaper having general cir-
culation in the City and in the above described territory not more
than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (lO) days prior to the
date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal
Annexation Act (Chapter 160, E1cts of the 58th Legislature, Regular
Passed and adopted this 12th day of April, A,D., 1967.
