MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A PARKING DISTRICT UNDER ORDINANCE
1710 , ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF LAMAR AVENUE ON PROPERTY BELONGING
TO SEARS ROEBUCK AND COMPANY AND LOCATED IMMEDIATELY NClRTH OF
THEIR STORE BUILDING, AND EXTENDING NORTH TO S. B. LINE OF LAMAR
A.VENUE; SO AS TO INCLUDE TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN
MF.-1 DISTRICT DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PARKING DISTRICT
SO ESTABLISHED,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinances of the City of P'aris, be, and the
same are hereby changed, and that a parking district be, and the
same is hereby established on the South side of Lamar Avenue on
property belonging to Sears Roebuck and Company, so as to include
in such parking district the hereinafter described property, which
was formerly and is presently designated as an MF..1 district, and
that the boundaries of said parking district, be, and the same are
hereby established as follows:
Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and
being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey within the corporate
limits of the City of Faris, described as follows from a
survey made on ground by R. Berry on June 13, 1957.
Beginning at a stake in the S. B. line of Lamar Avenue
281 feet inTest of its intersection with the W. B. line of
12th Street S. E. formerly Webb Street or 30th Street;
Thence South 200 feet a stake;
Thence tntest 60 feet a stake;
Thence North 200 feet a stake in S. B. line of Lamar
Avenue;
Thence F-ast with the S. B. line of Lamar Avenue to the
place of beginningo
Section 2, That the City Engineer of the City of P'aris, be,
and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of
Paris, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No, 1710
and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance
with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con•.
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passageo
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris
in regular session convened at Council Chambers on this the 8th
day of January, A. D., 1968.
