Section 1. That the boundaries heretofor e established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris, be, and the
same are hereby changed, and that a General Retail District, be,
and the same is hereby established on the hereinafter described
property belonging to the persons set out in connection there..
with, so as to include in such General Retail District the here.
inafter described property, which was formerly and is presently
designated as Multiple Family Dwelling No. 1(MF..1), Parking (P'),
and Office (O) Districts, and that the boundaries of said General
Retail District, be, and the same are hereby established as

FIRST TRACT: All of City Block No. 187 and
being that property situated between 8th Street, N. E.
and 10th Street, N. E. and Lamar Avenue and East

NINTH TRACT: All of City Block No. 220 fronting
on Lamar Avenue, said block being between 17th Street,
N. E. and 19th Street, N. E. on the North side of
Lamar Avenue, extending to a maximum depth of 300
feet on the Eastern ext.remity, and to a maximum depth
of 216 feet on the Western extremity, that has not
heretofore been zoned General Retail, or commercial,
and being a portion of Lot 1, a portion of Lot 3, and
Lots 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in said City Block, belonging

TENTH TRACT: All of City Block No. 219 situated
between the South side of Lamar Avenue and the North

and 7 in said block, belonging to Burke G. Bryan,
Ralph Fearce, Wilson Norris, J. L. McVay, Claude
Terrell, Stephen Rumore, and .Joe Alvin Welch.
ELEVENTH TRACT: Al1 of those lots in City Block
No. 223 that lie between 19th Street, S. E. and 20th
Street, S. E., fronting on Lamar Avenue and extending
in a Southerly direction to a depth of 370 feet on
19th Street, S. E. and 350 feet on 20th Street, S. E.,
being Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 12-A in said City
Block No. 223, belonging to Paul Thrasher, Dudley
Estate, G. L. Simmons, Edith Johnson, and Fayette
Reddell.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Faris,
be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
No, 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. That the above described property shall be
and is hereby placed in the Fire Limits of the City of Faris.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passageo
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 12th day of August, 1968.
