AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS OF THE EQUALIZATION
BOARD OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, TO SERVE FOR THE
CURRENT TAXA.BLE YEAR, ESTABLISHING THE TIME FOR THE FIRST MEET-
ING OF THE EQULIZATION BOARD, ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF PAY FOR
THE MEMBERS OF SAID BOARD, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That R. S. Biard, Ben Marable, an d W. B.
Richards, all residents of the City of Paris, Lamar County,
Texas, and qualified voters and real property owners in said
City, be, and they are hereby appointed as the Board of
Equalization of the City of Paris for the current taxable
year.
Section 2. The time of the meeting of said Equalization
Board is hereby fixed for the 2nd day of June, 1969.
Section 3. The regular place of ineeting of and for the
Equalization Board is hereby fixed and established as the
Council Room in the City Hall in the City of Paris, Texas.
Section 4. The rate of pay for each such appointed
member of said Equalization Board for the current taxable
year is hereby established at the rate of Thirty ($30.00)
Dollars per day, and the City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to make payment out of the City funds to such
members at such rate of pay of Thirty ($30.00)Dollars per
day.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
