AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHA.NGING THE BOUNDARIES ES-
TABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ON A TR.A.CT OF LAND FRONTING 327 FEET ON
AND ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF U. S. HIGHWAY 82.
AND FRONTING 1456 FEET ON S. W. LOOP 286, AND BEING LOT 1 IN
BLOCK N0. 329 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO
WOLENS, ERWIN AND BEASLEY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY
FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT; AND DESIG-
NATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Commercial District, be, and the same is hereby established on
a tract of land fronting 327 feet on and adjacent to the South
Boundary Line of U. S. Highway 82 and fronting 1456 feet on
S. W. Loop 286, and being Lot 'I in Block No. 329 of the City of
Paris, on property belonging to Wolens, Erwin and Beasley, so
as to include in such Commercial District the hereinafter de-
scribed property, which was f'ormerly and is presently desig-
nated as an Agricultural District, and that the boundaries of
the said Commercial District, be, and the same are hereby es-
tablished as follows:
Situated within the Corporate Limits of the City of
Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a p art of the
Isaac Cruise Survey, and being a part of a 834 acre tract
of land conveyed H. P. Mayer by Union Investment Co. by
deed recorded in Vol. 1L.4, Page 508, of the Deed Records
of said County and State.
Beginning at a concrete marker for corner at the
intersection of the South Boundary Line of Bon.ham St.
with the West Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286.
Thence North 89 Deg. 30 Min. West along the South
Boundary Line of Bonham St. a distance of 327 ft. to a
stake for corner, said point being the Northeast corner
of a tract of land conveyed V. D. McGee by deed recorded
in Vol. 392, Page 104, of said Deed Records;
Thence South 0 Deg. 30 Min. West a distance of 280
ft. to a stake for corner at the Southeast corner of
said McGee tract of land;
Thence North 89 Deg. 30 Min. West a distance of 115
ft. to a stake for corner at the Southwest corner of
said McGee tract of land,said point being in the East
Boundary Line of a tract of land conveyed the State of
Texas for road purposes as recorded in Vol. 245, Page
349, of the Deed Records of said County and State;
Thence South 0 Deg. 30 Min. West a distance of 15
ft. to a stake for corner at the Southeast corner of
said State of Texas tract of land;
Thence North 89 Deg. 30 Min. West a distance of
240 ft. to a stake for corner in the East Boundary
Line of 41st S.W., said point being the Southwest
corner of said State of Texas tract of land;
Thence South 0 Deg. 45 Min. West along the East
Boundary Line of 41 st S.W. a distance of 393 ft. to a
stake for corner, said point being the Northwest corner
of a tract of land now owned by Crumley;
Thence South 89 Deg. 30 Min. East a distance of 520
ft. to an iron pin for corner, said point being the
Northeast corner of a tract of land now owned by Warren
Bills;
Thence South 0 Deg. 45 Min. West a distance of 4~0
ft. to an iron pin for corner at the Southeast corner
of said Bills tract of land;
Thence North 89 Deg. 30 Min. West a distance of 520
ft. to a stake for corner in the East Boundary Line of
41st S.W., said point being the Southwest corne r of said
Bills tract of land;
Thence South 0 Deg. 45 Min. West along the East
Boundary Line of 41 st S.W. a distance of 273 ft, to a
stake for corner, said point being the Northwest corner
of a tract of land conveyed E. T. Boyle by deed recorded
in Vol. 310, Page 559, of the Deed Records of said County
and State;
Thence South 88 Deg. 55 Min. East a distance of 920
ft. to a stake for corner in the West Boundary Line of
Loop Highway 286, said point being in the North Boundary
Line of said Boyle tract of land;
Thence along the West Boundary Line of Loop Highway
286 as follows: North 0 Deg. 40 Min. East a distance
of 266 ft, to a concrete marker; North 6 Deg. 30 Min.
West a distance of 1008 ft. to a concrete marker; North
37 Deg. 15 Min. West a distance of 182 ft. to the place
of beginning and containing 20.007 acres of land.
Section 2. That the City Engineerof the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 14th dayof April, 1969.
