1898 ORD ADOPTING BUDGET FOR ENSUING FISCAL EYAR BEGINNING JULY 1 1969 AND ENDING JUNE 30 1970APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 1898
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING
FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1969, AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 1970, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER
OF THE CITY OF PARIS, APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS
AMOUNTS THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has submitted
to the City Council a proposed budget of the revenues of said City
and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof and providing a
complete financial plan f or the ensuing fiscal year, beginning
July 1, 1969, and ending June 30, 1970, and which said proposed
budget has been compiled from detailed information obtained from
the several departments, divisions and offices of said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Manager's
proposed budget, copy of which proposed budget and all supporting
schedules have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Paris,
and is of the opinion that the same should be approved and adopted
and that a public hearing before the City Council has been provided
for as required by Article V, Section 50, of the Charter of the
City of Paris, Paris, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the proposed budget of the revenues of the
City of Paris, and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof,
providing a complete financial plan for the ensuing fiscal year
beginning July l, 1969 and ending June 30, 1970, as submitted to
the City Council by the City Manager of said City, be, and the same
is in all things adopted and approved as the budget of all of the
current expenses as well as the fixed charges against said City for
the fiscal year beginning July l, 1969, and ending June 30, 1970.
Section 2. That the sum of $1,181,609.00 is hereby appropri-
ated out of the general fund for the payment of operating expenses
and capital outlay of the City government, exclusive of Water and
Sewer Departments, as hereinafter itemized:

Section 3. That the sum of $550,225.00, based on the esti-
mated water and sewer budget, is hereby authorized out of utility
fund revenues for the payment of operating expenses and capital
outlay of Water and Sewer Utility Departments, as hereinafter
itemized:

Section 4. That the sum of $50,184.00 is hereby appropriated
out of the general debt service fund fcr the purpose of paying the
interest due on general obligation bonds and time warrants, redeem-
ing the serial bonds as they mature, and creating a sinking fund
therefor.
Section 5. The sum of $289,875.00 is hereby appropriated
out of the Water and Sewer Revenue Bond Fund for the purpose of
paying the accrued interest and making the principal payments as
the same mature on the water and sewer revenue bonds, and creating
the prescribed contingent and reserve funds therefor.
Section 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 7. This ordinance shall be and remain in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the City
Council of the City of Paris.
Read, adopted and approved by the City Council at a special
meeting held at the City Hall in the City of Paris, this 28th day
of April, 1969.
