BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE GITY OF PARIS:
ARTICLE I - DEFINITIONS
1. Garbage is hereby defined as waste from the preparation, cooking and
serving of food, market refuse and waste from the handling, storage -
and sale of produce, paper, cartons, bedding, contents from litter re-
ceptacles, shavings, small lumber scraps and common trash from
households and offices, and all items or materials of like character
and kind.

2. Rubbish is herein divided intoelassifications.
Non-Combustible Rubbish is hereby defined as metals, tin cans, metal
furniture, dirt, glass, crockery, ashes, leaves, street sweepings,
catch basin dirt, abandoned automobiles and parts, excelsior and other
mineral refuse, and all items or materials of like character andkind.
Combustible Rubbish is hereby defined as wooden boxes, barrels, wood,
trees, tree branches, hedges, wooden furniture, combustible building
materials and lumber, and all items or materials of like character and
kind.
3. Dead Animals shall be such animals as cats, dogs, horses, cow:s, sheep,
goats, or fowls, and a11 others of like nature, which waste require
burial separate and apart from either garbage or rubbish.
4. Indust'rial waste is hereby defined as either liquid or solid waste result-
ing from industrial processing and manufacturing operations, such as
wholesale food processing, poultry processing, and Stlaughterhouse
operations, and other items of like kind and character, which waste
require burial separate and apart from either garbage or rubbish.
AR TIC LE II
Section 1. There is hereby fixed a fee of ten cents (10~) per cubic yard
for all garbage or rubbish, as the same are defined herein, delivered to the
Sanitary Land Fill by any person hauling or delivering same for hire.
Section Z. That each person, firm or corporation, whether hauling for
hire or hauling their own products to the Sanitary Land Fill, and delivering
any industrial solid or liquid waste, as the same is defined herein, or any
animals or fowls, large or smal.l, as defined, herein, shall contract with
the City of Paris for their burial or coverage at the Sanitary Land Fill on the
basis of the quantity, type or condition of said waste, based upon the extra
time necessary to bury and cover the same.
5ection 3. The Department of Public Works of the City of Paris is hereby
required to keep a record of the number of cubic yards delivered by each
hauler for hire or each flw,the lst and lOth day ofeeach monthn,and all bills
each hauler or owner between
furnished to the hauler or owner shall be due and payable on or before the 20th
day of each month.
That in the event any hauler or owner fails and refuses to pay the amount
of the bill furnished to him on or before the 20th day of each month, he shall
be denied the use of the Sanitary Land Fill thereafter until such bill is paid.
Section 4. All ordinances in conflict herewi.th are hereby repealed.
Section 5. The effective date of this ordinance shall be January 1, 1965.
