1705 ORD DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO DESTROY REFUNDED AND CANCELLED BONDS SERIES 1947-AORDINANCE NO. 1705
AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO DESTROY REFUNDED
AND CANCELLED BONDS, SERIES 1957-A, CITY OF PARIS, WATERWORKS
AND SEWER IMPROVEMENT REVENUE BONDS, NOS. 1 TO 1, 000 INCLUSIVE,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1, 000. 00 EACH, DATED AUGUST l, 1957.
WHEREAS, the City of Paris issued on August l, 1957, certain City of
Paris, Waterworks and Sewer Improvement Revenue Bonds, 5eries 1957-A,
Nos. 1 to 1, 000 inclusive, and being in the principal sum of $1, 000. 00 each;
and,
WHEREAS, said bonds were refunded and cancelled and occupy considerable
storage space in the vault of the City of Pari.s; and,
WHEREAS, there is no further necessity for the safekeeping of said can.-
celled bonds; NOW, THEREFOFF,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
That the City Clerk, H. C. Greene, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to destroy said bonds, in order to clear out the space occupied by the
same, and the City Clerk is further directed to execute the certifa.cate attached
at the bottom thereon upon completion of the destruction of said bonds.
Passed and adopted this 14th day of Dece ber A. D. , 1964.
