ORDINANCE NO. 1714 , AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT ON A TRACT OF LAND ON 13TH STREET, S.E., NORTH OF CLARKSVILLE STREET AND IMME- DIATELY ADJACENT TO THE WILLIAMSBURG SHOPPING CENTER, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JAMES R. BOYERS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT; AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT SO ESTABLISHED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS : Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinances of the CTal Retail1Disbrictndbeheandmthe are hereby changed, and tk~et a Gene same is hereby established on a tract of land on 13th Street, S.E., North of Clarksville Street and immediately adjacent to the Williams- burg Shopping Center, on property belonging to James R. Boyers, so as to include in such General Retail District the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a Residential District and that the boundaries of said General Retail District, be, and the same are hereby established as follows: Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas; A part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, in Paris, Lamar County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the East line of 13th Street, S.E., at the NW corner of the lot deeded by Mrs. Flora Burdett to J.W. Haden, Book 181, Page 377, Lamar County Deed Records; Thence North with the EB line of the above street 50 feet; Thence East 170 feet, more or less; Thence South 50 feet to the NE corner of the lot deeded by Fannie B. Rountree and husband to E.T. Dodd, Book 227, Page 249, Lamar County Records; Thence West with the NB line of said Dodd and Haden lots 170 feet, more or less, to the beginning. Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of thi's ordinance. Sectinn 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immelately upon passage.
