D. , 1965, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and, W HEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Paris, Texas, on the 1 st day of January, A. D, , 1965, Was more than nine times the size of the above de- scribed acreage; and, WHEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Texas, is 5, 000 or more inhabitants but less than 25, 000 inhabitants; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the Gity of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory contains less than ten per cent of the present acreage contained in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Tex.as; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT QRDAINED BY THE CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CIT Y OF PARI5, TEX.A5: Section 1. The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Paris, Texas, and the property so added hereby shall bear its pro rata part of the taxes levied by the City of Paris, Texas, an3 the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Paris, Texas. Section 3. That all of the above and foregoing property shall be, and it is hereby annexed to the City of Paris, Texas, under the zoning classification of Agricultural as provided for in Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Texas. Section 4, This ordinance shall be published and passed in the manner pro - vided in Article II, Section 7, of the Charter of the City of Paris, Texas, that is, by publishing notice in the Paris News thirty days prior to the date fixed hereby for the final passage of this ordinance, which date is August 9, A.
