AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1594, SECTION L THERE-
OF,, BY FIXING THE SPEED LIMIT AT 40 MILES PiR HOUR ON CLEMENT
ROAD, FROM THE EAST SIDE OF NORTH MAIN STREET TO THE WEST
SIDE OF HIGTIWAY LOOP NO, 286,, AND PROVIDjNG FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY TliE CITY COTJNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Ordinance Na. 15949 Section 2 thereof, be amended as
follows:
(a) It shall be unlawful forany person to operate or drive any motor
or other vehicle upon the public street known as Clement Road,
from the East Side of North M3.in 5treet to the W est Side of
Highway Loop No. 286, at a rate of speed in excess of forty
(40) miles per hour, which maximum speed limit shall be
applicable upon said street over said area.
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of th9.s ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be
punished by a fine not to exceed Two Handred ($200.00) Dollars.
Section 3. Al.l ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby expressly repeal.ed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effecti e on the 25th day of
Januar y, A. D. , 1966.
