<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing

<br />heard on the proposed annexation of the following described territory:
<br />Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and being
<br />a part of the Joseph Leach Survey, and being a part of a tract of
<br />land described in a deed dated August 19, 19642 from Lamar
<br />Trucking Company to R. M. Ginsberg, and recorded in Book 419,
<br />Page 115, Lamar County Deed Records9 and being described by
<br />metes and bflunds as follows:
<br />Beginning at a point where the South Boundary Line of the
<br />R. M. Ginsberg tract intersects the present City Limit Line North
<br />East of the City of Paris;
<br />Thence East wi_th the South Boundary Line of the Ginsberg
<br />tract, 820 feet to the S. E. Corner thereof;
<br />Thence North with the E. S. Line of said Ginsberg tract,
<br />1976 feet to the North East Corner of said tract;
<br />Thence West with the N. B. Line of the Ginsberg tract,
<br />1278 feet to the North West Corner of said tract;
<br />Thence South to a point where the West Boundary Line of
<br />the Ginsberg tract intersects the present City Limit Line North
<br />East of the City of Paris, a distance of 1405 feet.
<br />Being all of said Ginsberg tract which is not now wz.thin the
<br />City Limits of the City of Paris.
<br />was held at Paris, Texas, on the 23rd day of May, A. D., 1966, which date is
<br />not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the institution of annexation
<br />proceedings; and,
<br />WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper
<br />having general circulation in the City of Paris, Texas, and in the above described
<br />territorys on the 12th day of May, A. D., 1966, which date is not more than
<br />twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the popu.lation of the City of Paris, Texas, is in excess of
<br />52 000 and less than 25, 000 inhabitants; ands
<br />W'ciEREAS, the above described territory li.es within the extraterritorial
<br />jurisdiction of the City of Paris,, Texas; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjoins
<br />the City of Paris, Texas; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the above described territory contains approximately
<br />fifty-eight acres; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the above described territory contains less than ten per cent
<br />(101o) of the present acreage contained in the corporate limits of the City of
<br />Paris, Texas; NO'Na THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COUNCi.L OF THE CITY OF PARIS.,
