AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1406 AND ORDINANCE NO.
14489 SECTIONS 1 THROUGH 6, BY REPEALING THOSE SECTIONS OF THE
AFORESAID ORDINANCES IN CQNFLICT WITH THE PROVISION5 HEREIN; PRO-
VIDING FOR ONE HOUR METERED PARKING SPACES AROUND THE PUBLIC
PLAZA; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFPARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1406 and Ordinance No. 1448, Sections 1
through 6, be, and the same are hereby amended as follows:
(a) There is hereby established thirteen (13) one hour metered
parking spaces on the North Side of the Public Plaza and
immediately South of the North sidewalk on the Public Plaza.
(b) There is hereby established fifteen (15) one hour
metered parking spaces on the West Side of the Public Plaza,
immediately in front of the sidewalk on the West 5ide thereof.
(c) There is hereby established fourteen (14) one hour metered
parking spaces on the South Side of the Public Plaza, imme-
diately North of the South sidewalk of said Plaza.
(d) There is hereby established thirteen (13) one hour metered
parking spaces on the East Side of the Public Plaza, and
immediately West of the sidewalk on the East Side of said
P1az a.
(e) There is hereby established on the North Side of the Fountain
ten (10) one hour metered parking spaces.
(f) There is hereby established on the West Side of the Fountain,
located on the Public Square, ten (10) one hour metered park-
ing spaces.
(g) There is hereby established on the South Side of the Fountain,
located on the Public Square, ten (10) one hour metered park-
ing spaces.
(h) There is hereby established on the East Side of the Fountain,
located on the Public Square, ten (10) one hour metered park-
ing spaces.
Section 2. On all of the aforesaid metered parking spaces one hour
parking shall be obtained by depositing five cents (5~) in the meter immediately
in front of said parking space. Any person, who permits his vehicle to remain
in any of the metered parking spaces in excess of one hour, sha1X be gtnlty of
over parking and shall be fined as provided for in Ordinance No. 1406 and
Ordinance No. 1448.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
public atio n,
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
