IlVSTRUCTING THE CITY ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR OF TAXES TO L]ST ALL PR.OPERTY THEREIN AND PLACE SAME ON THE TAX ROLL" OF THE CITY OF PARIS AND TO HEREAFTER. ASSESS SAME FOR TAXES IlV ACCORDANCE WITH LAW. BE IT ORDAIlVED BY THE GITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAR13: :section 1. That the following described territory in Lamar Gounty, Texas, lying adjacent to the present boundary limits of the City of Paris, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Paris and admitted into the corpo ration of said City, and is hereby made and constituted a part and portion of the City of Paris, and the Boundary Limits of the City of Paris a re he reby extend ed so as to include and embrace said territory and to con- form to same as herein set out, to-wit: Situated in the County of Lamar and ilta.te of Texas, and described a s f ollow s: Beginning at a point in the South Boundary Li.ne of West Sherman Street, 350 feet East of the East Boundary Line of 19th St. S. W. , said point being in the existing City Limits, Thence South parallel to and 350 feet East of the East Bounda ry Line of 19th St. S. W. a dista.nce of 2800 feet more or less, to a point i.n the North Boundary Line of a tract of land now owned by H. S. Reeder; Thence West along the Reeder North Boundary Line a d ista.nce of 343 feet more or less to a point in the West Boundary Line of the said R.eede r tract; Thence South along the Reeder West Boundar y Line a dista,nce of 185 feet more or less to a point, said point being perpendicular to and 200 feet Southeast of the Southeast Boundary Line of 19th St. S. W., same being Farm to Market Road No. 137; Thence in a S outhwesterly direction parallel to and 200 feet Southeast of the 5outheast Boundary Line of F. M. Highway No. 137 a dista,nce of 1285 feet more or less, to a poin t in the East Boundary Line of a 3 acre tract of land now owned by the Babcock and Wilcox Company; Thence South along the said B& W Eas t Boundary Line a distance of 175 feet more or less, to a point in the North Soundary Line of the Texas and Pacific Railroad; Thence in a Southwesterly direction along the North Boundary Line of the T& P Railroad at 371. 58 feet the East Bounda.ry Line of F. M. Highway No. 137, continuing on a tota.l distanc e of 217 3. 58 feet to the 5outhwest corner of the Babcock and Wilcox property; Thence North along the West Boundary Line of the Babcock and Wilcox property a distance of 2247 fee t to a poi.nt, the Northwes t corner of the B& W property; Thence East along the North Boundary Lin,e of the B& W property a distance of 2204. 5 feet to a point, said point bein.g 307. 5 feet West of the most Northerly North- east corner of the B& W property; Thence North along a common boundary line which is 586 feet more or less West of the West Boundary Line of 19th St. S. W. or F. M. Highway No. 137 a distanc e of 2005 feet more or less to a point i.n the existing City Limit Line that is 200 feet South of the South Boundary Line of West Sherman 5treet; Thence West along the existing Gity Limit Line a distance of 586 feet more or less to a corner of the existing City Limits; a point in the West Boundary Line of 19th St. S. W. ; Thence No rth along the West Boundary Line of 19th St. S. W. and the exi.sting City Limits a distance of 200 feet to a corner of the existing Gity Limits, a point in the South Boundary Line of West Sherman Street; Thence East along the South Boundary Li.ne of West Sherman Street and the existing City Lixnits a distance of 430 feet to the place of beginning and conta.ini.ng 0. 262 square miles of land more or less. That the above property shall be ta.ken into the City Limits under the follow ing zoning c las s ifications : All of the area North of the North Boundary Line of Brown Avenue and what would be an extension thereof, 350 feet East c£ F. M. Highway No. 137, sha lI be annex ed into the Gity under the zoni.ng classification of Residenti.a.l under Zoning Ordinance No. 1122. All of the area extending South of the North Bounda ry Line of Br own Avenue, and the Eastward extension thereof, s hall be annexe d into the C ity L imits unde r the z oning c la s s i- fication of Unrestricted District under Zoning Ordinance No. 1122. The inhabitants within said annexed territory are and shall hereafter be entitled to enjoy all the rights, privileges and immunities of citize ns of the City of Pa.ris, and all laws, ordi.nances, rules, resolutions, acts, and regulations of said City now in, force in said City of Paris, and that may be hereafter passed, shall be and are in full force and effect in said territory hereby annexed and admitted. Se ction 2. That the present boundaries of Ward Two of the City of Pa,ris, be, and the same are hereby extended so as to embrace and include within said Ward Two all of said property which is deac ribed above, and the same is hereby incorporated in said Ward Two of the City of Paris. Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to make a com- plete survey of the above described territory and to mark the boundaries thereof by proper monuments; and to survey, establish and open, unde r the direction of the City Manager, all streets, roads, alleys and ways in said territory dedicated to public use; and to make and file with the City Clerk a complete map of said newly annexed territory showing all property lines, lots, and tracts therein, together with the names of the owners of same, and all streets, alleys, roads and ways dedicated to public use; and to immedi.a,tely correct the map of the City of Paris so as to add thereto, the a dditional territory des cribed herein, indicating on such map the date of annexation, the number of the ordinance and referen ce to the minutes or o rdinance reco rds of the City of Pa,ris where such instrument is recorded in full. Section 4. The City Tax Assessor and Collector of Taxes of the City of Paris is hereby directed to list all lots, tracts and property sit- uated in said annexed territory on the tax rolls of the City of Paris and hereafter to asses s same for ta,xes in accordance with law. S ection 5. This ordinance shall become effective upon final passage. Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 13th day o f August, A.
