TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City: ouncil, did, on tha 9th day of July, A. D.,
1962, by Ordinan,:e No. 1596, dQclare the necessity for the improvement of
Ba.ke Road, from the West Boundary Line of the Bookert T. Washington
Housing Project in the City of Paris, Texas, to the East Boundary Line of
6th Street, N. E. , in the City of Paris, Texas. That it did then and there
request the City Engineer to proceed with said work and directed the City
Clerk to file notice of a lien to be claimed on the property belonging to the
abutting property owners, which notice was filed by the I ity Clerk on the
lOth day o£ July, A. D. , 1962, in the Office of the County Clerk of Lamar
C ounty, Texas.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby accepts the report of J. E.
Albright, City Engineer, of the costs of curb and gutter to the abutting
property owners of $1. 50 per front foot and the costs to the abutting pro-
perty owners of $2.849 for two-thirds of the street paving per front foot,
in the event that same is foand to be of such beneficial interest to the im-
provement of the abutting properties and the owners thereof. That the
date for public hearing before the City Council by the abutting property
owners on the above described praperty is hereby fi.xed at 7:00 o'clock P. M
in the G ity C ouncil Room, on the l Oth day of 1?ecember, A. D. , 1962.
Section 3, That it is the intention of the City Council to assess the
abutting property owners as provided for and under the terms antl provi-
sions of Chapter 106 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the 40th
Legislature of the State of Texas, now known as Article 1105b of Vernon's
Texas Civil Statutes, under which law these proceedings are taken and had.
That the City Cler:c is hereby directed to publish i.n the Paris News notice
of the above public hearing, three (3) times, prior to said public hearing,
as required by law.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular
session convened, on this the 12th day of November, A. D. , 1962.
