That the followiig described territory in Lamar County, Texas, lying adjacent to the present ,boundary limits of the City of Paris, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Paris and admitted into the corporation of said Gity, and is hereby made and constituted a part and por- tion of the City of Paris, and the Bounrlary Limits of the City of Paris are hereby extended so as to include antl embrace said territory and to conform to same as herein set out, to-wit; Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and described as follows : TRAC T ONE: Beginning at a point where the South East Corner of the property belonging to Westinghouse intersects the North Boundary Line of the Right of W ay of the Texas & Pacific Railway, being the South East Corner of the present City Limit Line; Thence East and with the North Boundary Line of the Right of Way of the Texas & Pacific Railway to a point 600 feet East of the center line of U. S. Highway 271; Thence North and parallel to the East and North Boundary Line; Thence North and parallel to the center line of the outside lane and 600 feet beyond the center line of the outside lane of Loop Highway No. 286 to the most Northern East Boundary Line of the Gity of Paris. TRAG T TW O: Beginning where the present C ity Limit Line inter- sects the E. B. Line of the Right of Way of the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway, in the Northern part uf Paris; Thence South with the E. B. Line of said Railway Right of Way to the North West Corner of a tract of land formerly known as the Betner property and now owned by the Sesame Interests; Thence East to the North East Corner of said tract; Thence South to the N. B. Line of Center Street; Thence West with the N. B. Line of Center Street to the South West Corner of a tract belonging to the Southern Paper Box Company; Thence North with their W. B. Linie to the NorthWest Corner the reof; Thence East to the West Right of Way Line of the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway; Thence North with the W. B. Line of said Railway Right of W ay to the N. B. Line of Loop Highway No. 286; Thence West with the N. B. Line of said Loop Highway to the South West Corner of the Campbell Soup Coxnpany properties; Thence North with the W. B. Line of the Carnpbell Soup C ompany properties, a dista.nce of 600 feet from the center line of Loop Highway No. 286, the outside lane thereof; Thence West and South with said center line and parallel, a dis tance of 600 feet therefrom to the W. B. Line of what is known as the Lake Road; Thence S-outh with the W. B. Line of the Lake Road, which Lake Road is an extension of 19th Street, N. W. to the South W e s t Corner of a tract s old by the C ity of Paris to the Paris Indus trial Foundation; Thence West to the South W est C orner of the Industrial Foundation prope rty; Thence North to the S. B. Line of the outside loop of Loop Highway No. 286; Thence North and East to a point 5 feet West of the aforesaid line running on the W. B. Line of Lake Road; Thence North and a parallel dista,nce of 5 feet with said W. B. Line of said Lake Road to a point 600 feet North of the centex line af the outside loop of Loop Highway No. 286; Thence South and West with said center line and at a distance of 600 feet parallel to said center line to the N. B. Line of U. S. Highway No. 82; Thence West with U. S. Highway No. 82 to a point immediately North of the E. B. Line of the Gordon Lake Road; ✓Thence S,outh with the E. B. Line of the Gordon Lake Road to a point immediately East of the N. B. Line of Sherman Street; Thence East to the N. B. Line of Sherman Street, the most Western South West Gorner of the present City Limit Lines of the City of Pa.ris. That the above property shall be taken into the City Limits under the following zoni.ng classification: Residential, as provided for in Zoning Ordinance No. 1122. The inhabitants within said annexed territory are and shall hereafter be entitled to enjoy all the rights, privileges and immunities of citizens of the City of Paris, and all laws, ordinances, rules, resolutions, acts, and regula- tions of said City now in force in said City of Paris, and that may be here- after passed, shall be and are in full force and effect in said territory hereby annexed and admitted. Section 2. (a) That the present boundaries of Ward One of the City of Pa,ris, be, and the same are hereby extended so as to embrace and include within said Ward One that portion of the above described property, beginning at the South East Corner of the Westinghouse property and extending East and North to the South Boundary Line of U. S. Highway 82 East, and the same is hereby incorporated in said Ward One of the City of Paris. (b) That the present boundaries of Ward Four of the City of Paris, be, and the same are hereby extended so as to embrace and include within said Ward Four all of said property which is described as beginning at the South Boundary Line of U S. Highway 82 East, and in a North Westerly direction to the most Northern East Boundary Line of the present City Limits of Paris, and the same is hereby incorporated in Ward Four of the City of Paris. (c) That the present boundaries of Ward Three of iiie City of Paris, be, and the same are hereby extended so as to embrace and include withi.n said Ward Three all of said property which is describedas beginning where the present City Limit Line intersects the E. B. Line of the Right of Way of thc St. Louis & San Franci.sco Railway, in the Northern part of Paris and extending to the North Boundary Line of U. S. Highway No. 82 West, and the same is hereby incorporated in said Ward Three of the City of Paris, (d) That the present boundaries of Ward Two of the City of Paris, be, and the same are hereby extended so as to embrace and i.nclude withi.n said 11Vard Two all of said propertq which is described as beginning at the N. B. Line of U. S. Highway 82 W es t at a point immediately North of the extens ion of the E. B. Line of the Gordon Lake Road, South to a poi.nt immedia.tely West of the North Boundary Line of West Sherman Street; Thence East to the North Boundary Line of West Sherman Street, and the same is hereby incorpo- rated in said W ard Two of the G ity of Paris. Section 3. The G ity Engineer is hereby instructed to make a complete survey of the above described territory and to mark the boundaries thereof by proper monuments; and to survey, establish and open, under the direction of the City Mana.ger, all street, roads, alleys and ways in said territory dedicatod to public use; and to make and file with the City Clerk a complete map of said newly annexed territory showing all property lines, lots, and tracts therein, together with the names of the owners of same, and all streets, alleys, roads and ways dedicated to public use; and to immediately correct the map of the City of Paris so aa to add thereto, the additional territory described herei.n, indicating on such map the date of annexation, the number of the ordina.nce and reference to the minutes or ordinance re- cords of the City of Paris where such instrument is recorded in full. Section 4. The City Tax Assessor and Collector of Taxes of the City of Paris is hereby directed to list all lots, tracts and property situated in said annexed territory on the tax rolls of the City of Paris and hereafter to assess same for taxes in accordance with law. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective upon final passage. Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on the lOth day of I?ecember, A. I?. , 1962.
