BE IT ORDA INED BY THE C ITY C OUNC IL OF THE C ITY OF PAR IS , TExA5 : Section l. That Ordinance No. 1-515, Section VII - A-6, styled "Street Grades", be, and the same is hereby deleted, and the follow- ing is substituted therefor: Street Grades: The minimum ade for all streets shall be 0e5 five tenths of one fl) per cento The maximum grade for arterial streets shall be five (5) per cent; for collector streets it shall be eight (8) per cent; for local streets it ~shall be ten (10 ),per cent. If natural topography is such as to require steeper grades, the above ma.x3.mum grade shall be increased by twenty- five (25) per cent for a maximum continuous distance of two hundred (200) feet. Center line grade changes with an algebraic difference of more than three (J) per cent, and less than five (5) per cent, shall be connected with at least a two hundred (200) foot vertical curvee For every additional per cent of algebraic difference over five (5) per cent, there shall be an additicrial fifty (50) feet of vertical curve. All algebraic differences in grade below three (3) per cent shall have a vertical curve of not less tha.n one hundred (100) feeta Where a cross slope is necessary or desirable from one curb to the opposite curb, such cross slope shall not be more than nine (9) inches on a twenty-eight (28) foot street, or more than twelve (12) znches on a thirty-nine (39) foot street, or more than eighteen (lb) inches on a sixty (b0) foot street, except where new streets connect to existing streets that require a greater cross slope to connect, and then the gade change will be consumed within one hundred fifty 50) feet of the connecting point. The grade requirements for alleys shall conform to those of streets. Section 2. That Ordinance No. 1315, Section VII - A-7, styled "Street and A11ey Crowns", be, and the same is hereby deleted, and the fol.lowing is substituted therefor: Street and A11ey Crowns: The crown of al.l streets shall be based on one-sixth (17(5) of an inch per foot of paved street width, but in no case leas than four (4) inches, nor more than ten (10) inchese A11 alleys shall have an invert crown of one-sixth (1/6) of an inch per foot of alley width, but in no case less than three (_5) inches nor more than five (5) inehes. Section 3• That Ordinance Noa 1315, Section VIII - C-1, styled "Street Bases", be, and the same is hereby deleted, and the following is substituted therefor: Local Streets: All local streets within the addition shall have either, _(a) a minimum of six (6) inches, compacted thickness asphalt soil stabilized base, or (b) a minimum of six (61 inches, compacted thicknesa, Portland eement sta- bilized soil base, or (c) a minimum of eight > inches, compacted thic -Fss, Oklahoma li.mestone base, or (d) a minimum of four (4) inches Portland cement base. Lnat Ordinance No. 1315, Section VTIT - D-1, styled "Street Surfacing - Loca1 and Collector Streets", be, and the same is hereby deleted, and the following is substituted therefor: Local and Collector Streets shall be surfaced with one and one half ~1~~ ~inches, compa~cted thicYness, of pre-mix as- phalt, either cold or hot mix, meetin; the requirements in material and construc*:ion, a.s outlined in the Standard Specifs.cations of the Ctty of Paris for this type of im- provements, exc~ if a five (5) inch Portland cement base is constructed of three thousand (_SUOU) pound concrete, no asphalt surfacing will be requirEd. Section 5. That Ordinance No. ljl5, Section VIII - D-2, styled "Street Surfacing -Arterial Streets", be, and the same is hereby deleted, and the following is substituted therefor: Arterial Streets shall have tnro (2) inches compacted thickness of p're--mix rock fasphal~, either cold or hot mix, meeting the requirements in material and construction, as outlined in the Standard Specif ications of the City of Paris for the type of improvement to be constructede No street surfacing or pavement shall be construeted u.ntil all required utilities and house services (to back of curb) are in place. Section b. A11 alleys shall have arterial street improvements except when said al1°ey is dedicatecl solely to provide ingress and egress to an existing alley, in which case the alley may have six (b) inches of approved compacted gravel. Section 7. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section b. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage.
