1630 ORD AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 1521 SECTIONS 2 AND 3 THEREOFORDIN.ANCE NO, 1630 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING QRDINANCE NQo 1521, SECTIONS 2 AND 3 THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR WORKING HE?URS OF POLICEMEN IN THE PARIS I'OLICE DE1°ARTMENT; PRE?VIDING FOR COMPENSATION FOR OVERTIME DURING AN EMERGENCY; PRQVIDING FC?R STRAIGHT THROUGH WORKING TIME ON EACH SHIFT; PROVIDING FOR MEMBERS OF THE FARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT TO FURNISH THEIR OWN TRANSPC3RTATION TO AND FROM WORK; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY C}F PARIS: Section 1, Amending Section 2 of Ordinance No, 1521. That no policeman of the Paris Police Department shall be required or permitted to work in excess of forty (40) hours in any one calendar week. That each policeman shall work a through shift of eight (8) hours, five (5) days in each calendar week, with no time off for meals. Provided, however, in case of an emergency, any policeman who is called back to duty from his off days, or who is required to work in excess of forty (40) hours in any one calendar week, he shall be compensated for such overtime at a rate equal to one and one-half times the compensation paid to such policeman for regular hour s. Section 2. That each member of the Paris Police Department shall furnish his own transportation to and from work, except those policemen who are furnished with a city car that they keep over night, and except any mem- ber of the Police Department who is called out on an emergency, and in such case the regular patrol cars shall transport said policeman on said emergency to and from his home. Section 3. Amending Section 3 of Ordinance No, 1521, This ordinance shall take effect midnight, June 30, 1963, Passed and adopted this lOth day of June, A.
