AN ORDINANGE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANGE OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIE5 ESTAB-
LISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING AN "E"
COMMUNITY STORE DISTRICT 100 FEET NORTH OF THE EXTENSION
OF THE SOUTH BQUNDARY LINE OF W EST HOUSTON STREFT, BETW EEN
6TH STREET, N. W. AND 7TH STREET, N. W, , AND EXTENDING THE
ZONING 130 FEET NORTH FRQM SUCH POINT, ON PROPERTY BELONGING
TO FAYETTE REDDELL AND FLORENCE STEWART JQHNSON, SO AS TO
Il\TCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DE5IGNATED AS A RESIDEN-
TIAL DISTRICT; AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE "E"
GQMMUNITY STORE DISTRICT SO ESTABLISHED,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY QF
PARIS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning
Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris, be, and the same are hereby
changed, and that an "E" Community Store District, be, and the same is
hereby established 100 feet North of the extension of the South Boundary
Line of W est Houston Street, between 6th Street, N. W. and 7th Street, N. W. ,
and extending the zoning 130 feet North from such point, on property belonging
to Fayette Reddell and Florence Stewart Johnson, so as to include in such
"E" Community Store District the hereinafter described territory, which was
formerly and is presently designated as a Residential District, and that the
boundaries of said "E" Community Store District, be, and the same are
hereby established as follows:
Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and
being a part of t
he Larkin Rattan Survey, and beginning at a
poimt in the E. B.
Line of a tract of land owned by Florence
Stewart Johnson,
on the W. B. Line of 6th Street, N. W. ,
said point being what would be the intersection of the South
Boundary Line of
West Houston Street should it be extended
W estward to said
point, and being the North Boundary Line
of a tract heretofore zoned "E" Community 5tore;
Thence North with the W. B. Line of 6th Street, N. W. ,
130 feet, a stake
in the W. B. Line of 6th Street, N. W., and
a tract belonging
to Adeline Reddell;
Thence West
to the E. B. Line of 7th Street, N. W,;
Thence South
130 feet, a stake;
Thence East
with the N. B. Line of the Community Store
area to the place
of beginning.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, be, and he is
hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No, 1409, as amended, and in accordance
with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. That all of the area described above, be, and the same is
hereby placed in the First Fire District Limits of the City of Paris.
Section 4. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
5ection 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in
regular session convened at Council Chambers on this the 8th day of July,
