CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
SAME THREE (3) TIMES IN THE PAR.IS NEWS AS REQUIRED BY LAW, AND
APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE FINAL ESTIMATE OF THE CO5TS OF
SUCH CURB AND GUTTER AND STREET IMPROVEMENT5, AS FILED BY THE
CITY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PARI5, TEXAS, AND
FIXING THE CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY
OWNERS AND THE CHARGESTO ARGE PAID ANDYLIEN AGAINSOT AIDI PROPERTY

THE INTENTION OF FIXING A
AND THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
TEXAS:
Sectinn lo That the City Council, did, on the llth day of March, A. D.,
1963, by Ordinance No, 1622, declare the necessity for the improvement of
Graham Street, by the installation of curbs and gutters and paving same, from stri a point 18 feet East of the E. B. Line of the Paris Independent School Dd it ct
property and continuing W est to the E. B. Line of 34th Street, N. W. ,
did then and there request the City Fngineer to proceed with said work and di-
rected the City Clerk to file notice of a lien to be claimed on the property be-
longing to the abutting property owners, which notice was filed by the City
Clerk on the 12th day of March, 1963, in the Office of the County Clerk of Lamar
County, Tex.as.
Section 2. That the City Engineer has reported to the City Council the
co sts of curb and gutter to the abutting property owner s and the co sts to the
abutting property owner s for two -thirds of the paving per front foot, and said
costs so reported are: Costs of curb and gutter, $1.55 per front foot; the
costs to the abutting property owners of $Z.61293, or two-thirds of the street
paving, per front foot; and the cost of $0.60 per square foot for valley gutters
and $0.65 per square foot for driveways. That said report has been, in all
things, approved by the City Council of the City of Paris. That the date for
public hearing before the City Council by the abutting property owners on the
above described property is hereby fix.ed at 7:00 o'clock P. M. , in the City
Council Room, on the 9th day of 5eptember, A. D., 1963.
Section 3. That it is the intention of the City Council to assess the abutting
property owners as provided for and under the terms and provisions of Chapter
106 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the 40th Legislature of the State
of Tex.as, now known as Article 1105b of Vernon's Tex.as Civil Statutes, under
which law thes e pro c eeding s ar e taken and had. That the City Clerk is her eby
directed to publish in the Paris News notice of the above public hearing, three
(3) times prior to said public hearing, as required by law.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris, in regular
session convened, on this the 12th day of August, A. D. , 1963.
