AN ORDINANGE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTAB-
LISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A"G"
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ON THE W E5T SIDE OF 6TH STREET, N. E.,
IN THE 800 BLOCK THEREQF, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO ODE5SA
GRIFFIS, 50 AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIG-
NATED A5 A RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT; AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDA-
RIES OF THE "G" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT SO ESTABLI5HED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, TEXA5:
5ection l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning
Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris, be, and the same are hereby
changed, and that a"G" Commercial District, be, and the same is hereby
established on the West Side of 6th Street, N. E., in the 800 Block thereof,
on property belonging to Odessa Griffis, so as to include in such "G"
Commercial District the hereinafter described property, which was for-
merly and is presently designated as a Residential District, and that the
boundaries of said "G" Commercial District, be, and the same are hereby
established as follows:
Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Tex.as, and being
a part of the I. Davis Survey, and located on the West Side of 6th
Street, N. E. , formerly 25th Street, and being described as follows:
Being a part of a tract of land described in a deed of trust
from Odes sa Griffis to Phillip Hutchison, Trustee, dated January
28, 1947, recorded in Sook 96, Page 104, of the Deed of Trust
Records of Lamar County, and beginning at a stake approximately
100 feet South of the South Boundary Line of East Grove 5treet,
and on the W. B. Line of 6th Street, N. E. , at the North East
Corner of the tract belonging to Odessa Griffis;
Thence South with the W. B. Line of 6th Street, N. E. ,
approx.imately 78 feet to the 5outh East Corner of said Odessa
Griffis tract, same being the North East Gorner of a tract
belonging to H. G. Smith;
Thenc e W est with the N. B. Line of the H. G. $mith tract,
144 f e et, a stak e;
Thence North approx.imately 78 feet to the N. B. Line of the
Odessa Griffis tract;
Thence East 144 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2, That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, be, and he
is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in
accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1409, as amended, and
in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
5ection 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
5ection 4, This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in
regular session convened at Gouncil Ghambers on this the 9th day of
September, A. D., 1963.
