FOR THE 5TOPPING OF SAID VEHICLE BEFORE PROCEEDING AND
THEN PROCEEDING AT A SPEED NQT IN EXCESS OF TEN (10) MILES
PER HQUR, PROVIDING FQR A PENALTY FOR EACH VIOLATION IN ANY
SUM NOT IN EXCESS OF TWO HUNDRED ($200.00) DOLLARS, AND RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CQNFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE GITY OF PARI5:
Section 1. That the driver of any vehicle, upon a street within the
City Limits of the City of Paris, upon meeting or overtaking from either
direction any school bus, which is stopped on said street for the purpose
of receiving or discharging any school children, shall stop the vehicle
immediately before passing the school bus and then may proceed past such
school bus at a speed which is prudent, not exceeding ten (10) miles, and
with due caution for the safety of such children.
5ection 2. Each person, firm or corporation, who is found guilty of
violation of the above section, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall
be fined any sum not in ex.cess of Two Hundred ($200, 00) Dollars.
Section 3, All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on the 28th day of
October, A. D, , 1963.
