AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 1495 OF THE CJTY OF
pAR,I5, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 1594, AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 1624, AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 1625, REGULATING 5PEED OF
MOTOR VEHICLES UPON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF PARIS,
LAMAR COUNTYp TEXAS; PRESCRLBING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
HEREOF; REPEALING ALL IDING FOR AN EFFOECOT E DATE5 IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PRO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL aF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1495, Ordinance No. 1594, Ordinance No.
1624, and Ordinance No. 1625, be, and the same are hereby amended, by
designating herein speed limits over certain areas within the City Limits, on
the specified streets as follows:
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or drive any motor
or other vehicle at a rate of speed in ex.cess of twenty (20) miles per hour,
on the following streets and portions of streets:
(1) On Blake Road between the West boundary line of 6th Street
North East, and the East boundary line of 8th Street North
Ea st.
5ection 2. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not
exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars,
5ection 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on the lst day of
February, 1964.
