AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING
FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1964, AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 1965, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, APPROPRIATING THE VARIOU5
AMDUNTS THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCE5 IN CONFLICT THEREWITH,
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has submitted to
the City Council a proposed budget of the revenues of said City and the
expenses of conducting the affairs thereof and providing a complete fi-
nancial plan for the ensuing fiscal year, beginning July 1, 1964, and end-
ing June 30, 1965, and which said proposed budget has been compiled
from detailed information obtained from the several departments, divisions
and offices of the Gity; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Managerls pro-
posed budget, a copy of which proposed budget and all supporting schedules
have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Paris, and is of the
opinion that the same should be approved and adopted and that a public
hearing before the City Council has been provided for as required by
Article V, 5ection 50, of the Charter of the City of Paris, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1, That the proposed budget of the revenues of the City of
Paris and the ex.penses of conducting the affairs thereof, providing a com-
plete financial plan for the ensuing fiscal year beginning July 1, 1964, and
ending June 30, 1965, as submitted to the City Council by the City Manager
of said City, be, and the same is in all things adopted and approved as the
budget of all of the current ex.penses as well as the fixed charges against
said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1964, and ending June 30,
1965.
Section 2. That the sum of $991, 390, 00 is hereby appropriated out
of the general fund for the payment of operating expenses and capital out-
lay of the City government as hereinafter itemized;

Section 3, That the sum of $69, 508. 00 is hereby appropriated out of
the general debt service fund for the purpose of paying the interest due
on general obligation bonds and time warrants, redeeming the serial bonds
as they mature, and creat3ng a sinking fund therefor.
Section 4, The sum of $170, 021. 00 is hereby appropriated out of the
Water and Sewer Revenue Bond Fund for the purpose of paying the accrued
interest and making the principal payments as the same mature on the
water and sewer revenue bonds, and creating the prescribed contingent and
reserve funds therefor.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be and remain in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval by the City Council of the City of
Paris.
Read, adopted and approved by the City Council at a special meeting
