AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUTNG
FISCAL YEAR, BEGINNING JULY 1, 1960, AND ENDTNG
JUNE 30, 1961, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS
AMOUNTS THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDILVANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Pa.ris has submitted
to the City Council a proposed budget of the revenues of said City and
the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof and providing a complete
financial plan for the ensuing fiscal year9 beginning July 1, 1960, and
ending June 30, 1961, and which said proposed budget has been com-
piled from deta.iled informa.tion obtained from the several departments,
divisions and offices of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Ma.nagerts
proposed budget, a copy of which proposed budget and all supporting
schedules have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Paris, and
is of the opinion that the same should be approved and adopted and
that a public hearing before the City Council ha.s been provided for as
required by Article V, Section 50, of the Charter of the City of Paris,

NOW9 THEREFORE9 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C7CTY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PARISs
Section 1. That the proposed budget of the revenues of the City
of Paris and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof, providing
a complete financial plan for the ensuing fiscal year beginning July la
1960, and ending June 30, 1961, as submitted to the City Council by the
City Manager of said Citya be, and the same is in all thinge adopted
and approved as the budget of all of the current expenses as well as
the fixed charges against said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1960, and ending June 30, 1961.
Section 2. That the sum of $755, 9270 94 is hereby appropriated
out of the general fund for the payment of operating expenses and
capital outlay of the City government as hereinafter itemized;

Section 3. That the sum of $111, 554, 14 is hereby appropriated out
of the general debt service fund for the purpose of paying the intaest
due on general obligation bonds and time warrantss redeeming the serial
bonds as they maLure, and creating a sinking fund therefor.
Section 4. The sum of $186, 702. 00 is hereby appropriated out of
the Water and Sewer Revenue Bond Fund for the purpose of paying the
accrued i.nterest and making the principal payments as the same ma.ture
on the water and sewer revenue bonds, and creating the prescribed con-
tingent and reserve funds therefor.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section bo This ordinance shall be and remain in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval by the City Council of the City of
Paris.
