AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS„ PRESCRIBING RATES AND
CHARGES FOR LOCAL EXCHANGE TELEPHONE SERVICE FURNISHED BY
THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY, AND PROVII?ING FOR
AN EFFEC TIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CC3UNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. Tha.t Southwestern Bell Telephone Company be authorized to
place into effect on the first billing date after the 1 st day of January, A. D. ,
1961, the following schedule of rates for local exchange telephone service in
the Paris Exchange, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the
City of Paris and the franchise granted to said Company by said City, to-wit;

(a) The rate for a flat rate PBX trunk is one and one-half
times the rate for one-party business flat rate serviceo
(b) Minimum local message revenue guarantee equal to
one-party business flat rate service.
Section Z. All ordinances heretofore passed by the City Council of the
City of Paris esta.blishing rates and charges for telephone service are here-
by repealed effective with the esta,blishment of the rates authorized in
Section 1 above.
Section 3, Nothing in this ordinance conta.ined shall be construed now
or hereafter as limiting or modifying, in any manner, the right and power of
the city under the law to regulate the rates and charges of Southwestern Bell
Telephone Company,
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on the lst day of
January, A. D., 1961.
Passed and adopted this 14th day of Novernber, A. D., 1960.
