AN ORDINANCE ANiENDING SECTION X OF ORI?INANCE NO, 1376,
LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS ORDZNANCE, PASSED ON THE 20TH I?AY
OF APRIL, A. D., 1956, AND PRQYIDING FQR AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
pARIS, TEXASe
Section 1. That Section X of Urdinance No. 1376 be, and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Yehicles hauling or transporting li.quefied petroleuxn gas shall not
be driven in the following described areas unless a permit has been issued
by the Fire Marshal authorizing such vehicle to be m-oved in such area, and
such tank shall have been made safe by closing all valves thereon:
(a~' Within the firs limits of the Citp of Paris as the same are
or may hereafter be esta.blished.
(b} Within one block of any public school building or hospital.
(c) Provided, however, the provisions of this Section sha.ll not
be construed to prohibit the eontinuous in-transit xno'vement
of any such vehicle a14ng and acrQSS any designated Sta.te
or Federal highway entering and traversing the corporate
limits of the City of Paris, but in no svent shall any such
transport truck be parked within the fire limits of the City
of Paris or within one block of any public school building

Section Z. This ordinance shall ta.ke effect immedia.tely upon passage.
