AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, TEXAS, ANI? CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISi-`±.ED BY
THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING AN "E" COMMUNITY
STORE DISTRICT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF CLARKSVILLE STREET, AT
THE SOUTH EAST INTERSECTION OF CLARKSVILLE STREET AND 12TH:
STREET, S. E., ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO J. E. CROWLEY, SO AS TO
1NCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A RESIDENTIAL
DISTRIC T; DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE "E" COMMUNITY
STORE DISTRICT SO ESTABLISHED; AND PL.EyCING THE PROPERTY HEREIN
INVOLVED IN THE FIRST FIRE LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNGIL OF THE CTTY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore esta.blished by the Zoning
Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris be, and the same are hereby
changed, and that an "Et' Community Store District be, and the same is
hereby established on the South Side of Clarksville Street, at the South East
intersection of Clarksville Street and 12th Street, S. E., on property belong-
ing to J. E. Crowley, so as to include in such "E" Community Store District
the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently de-
signated as a Residential District, and that the boundaries of said i'E"
Community Store District be, and the same are hereby established as
follow s;
Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and described
as follow s:
A part of the Larkin Ratta.n Survey within the corporate limits of
the City of Paris, and of City Assessment Block No. 112, de-
scribed by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGFNNING at the intersection of the SB line of Clarksville
Street and the EB line of 12th Street S. E., formerly Webb Street;
THENCE with Clarksville Street South 66° East 122 feet, a stake
at the NW corner of the lot conveyed by Sam D. Johnson and wife
to Elizabeth Williams on January 29, 1940 by deed recorded in Book
256, Page 317, Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE in a Southwesterly direction with the WB line of said
Johnson-Williams lot 135 feet, a stake;
THENCE North 77° 15a West 90.6 feet, a sta.ke in the EB line of
12th Street S. E. at the NW corner of the lot conveyed by S. D.
Johnson and wife to J. A. Miles on May 17, 1941, by deed recorded
in Book 260, Page 332, Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE North with the EB line of 12th Street S. E. 166.2 feet to
the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the Gity Engineer of the City of Paris be, and he is
hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris, in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1409, as amended, and in accordance
with the provisions of this ordinance.
Sectinn 3. That the above described property shall be and it is hereby
placed in the First Fire Limits of the City of Paris.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Pa.ris in regular
session convened at Gouncil Chambers on this the l Oth day of April, A. D.,
1961.
