CITY IN ACCORDANCE HEREWITH AND TO CQNSTRUCT A COM- PLETE MAP ClF SUCH TERRITORY SHOWING STREETS, ALLEYS, LOTS, TR.ACTS, ANI? PRQPERTY OWNERS, AND TO FILE SAME WITH THE CITY CLERK AND TO CORRECT THE MAP OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO AS TO AI?D SUGH TERRITORY THERETO; AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ASSESSOR ANI? COLLECTOR OF TAXES TO LIST ALL PROPERTY THEREIN ANI? PLACE SAME ON THE TAX ROLLS OF THE CITY OF PARIS AND Tp HEREAFTER ASSESS SAME FOR TA,XES IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW. BE IT ORI?1riINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the following described territory in Lamar County, Texas, lying adjacent to the present boundary limits of the City of Paris, be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Paris and admitted into the corporation of said City, and is hereby made and constituted a part and portion of the City of Paris, and the Boundary Limits of the City of Paris are hereby extended so as to include and embrace said territory and to conform to same as herein set out, to-wit: Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and described as follows: Beginning at the present City Limit Line at a point 200 feet East and 200 feet North of the intersection of 27th S reet, N. W. and Campbell Street, at an ell corner of the North Boundary Line in the City Limits of the City of Paris; Thence East and 200 feet North of and parallel with Campbell Street to a point in a West Boundary Line of the present Gity Limits, which point is located 200 feet West and 200 feet North of the intersection of Campbell Street and 19th Street, N. W. ; Thence South with the W. B. Line of the present City Limits of the City of Paris to an ell corner in the Northern City Limit Line, at a point 200 feet North and West of the intersection of Graham Street and 19th Street, N. W. ; Thence West and parallel with Graham Street at a dista.nce of 200 feet therefrom to an ell corner which is located at a point approxima,tely 200 feet North and 200 feet East of the intersection of 27th Street, N. W. and Grham Street; Thence North with the Boundary Line of the present City Limits to the place of beginning. The inhabita.nts within said annexed territory are and shall hereafter be entitled to enjoy all the rights, privileges and immunities of citizens of the City of Paris, and all laws, ordinances, rules, resolutions, acts, and regulations of said City now in force in said City of Pa,ris, and tha.t may be hereafter passed, shall be and are in full force and effect in said territory hereby annexed and admitted; said area to be admitted under a Residential zoning classification. Section 2. That the present boundaries of Ward Three of the City of Paris be, and the same are hereby extended so as to embrace and include within said Ward Three all of said property which is described above, and the same is hereby incorporated in said Ward Three of the City of Paris. Section 3. The City £ngineer is hereby instructed to make a complete survey of the above described territory and to mark the boundaries thereof by proper monuments; and to survey, estahlish and open, under the direction of the City Manager, all streets, roads, alleys and ways in said territory dedicated to public use; and to make and file with the City Clerk a complete map of said newly annexed territory showing all property lines, lots, and tracts therein, together with the names of the owners of same, and all streets, alleys, roads and ways dedicated to public use; and to immediately correct the map of the City of Paris so as to add thereto, the additional territory described herein, indicating on such map the date of annexation, the number of the ordinance and reference to the minutes or ordinance records of the City of Paris where such instrument is recorded in full. Section 4. The City Tax .Assessor and Collector of Taxes of the City of Paris is hereby directed to list all lots, tracts and property situated in said annexed territory on the ta.x rolls of the City of Paris and hereafter to assess same for ta.xes in accordance with law. Section 5. This ordinance sha.ll become effective upon final passage. Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 13th day of March, A. D., 1961.
