1553 ORD AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE AND CHANGING BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY ESTABLISHING "G" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ON SOUTH SIDE OF EAST PRICEORDINANGE NO. 1553 , AN ORDINANCE AMENIIiVG THE ZONTNG ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHA,NGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A"G" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF EAST PRICE STREET ON AN AREA IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF THE SOUTH WEST PORTION OF WADE PARK, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO MARY E. McCLANAHAN, ELEANOR M. NELSON, AND M. S. FORD, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT; DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE "G" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT SO ESTABLISHED. BE IT OR,DAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PA RIS : Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and Ordinances of the Gity of Paris be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a"G" Commercial District be, and the same is hereby established on the South Side of East 1'rice Street in the immediate vicinity of the South West Corner of the Wade Park area, on property belonging to Mary E. McClanahan, Eleanor M. Nelson, and M. S. Ford, so as to include in such "G" Commercial District the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a Residential District, and that the boundaries of said "G" Commercial District be, and the same are hereby esta.blished as follows: FIRST TR,AGT: Situated in Lamar County, Texas, a part of the George W. Cox Survey, Abstract No. 164, in City Block No. 222 of the City of Paris, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follow s, to -wit: BEGINNING at a sta.ke in the SB line of East Houston Street, same being the NE corner of 6 1/2 acres of land conveyed by W. W. Stell and wife to Jas. W. Moore, May 9, 1910, as shown by deed of record in Book 74, Page 373, Lamar Gounty Deed Records; THENCE West with the SB line of Houston Street, 225 feet to a stake; THENCE South 210 feet, a sta,ke; THENCE East 225 feet, a sta,ke in the. EB line of said 6 1/2 acres; THENCE North with same, 210 feet to the place of beginning. SECOND TR.ACT: Situated in Lamar County, Texas, and being a tract lying immediately West and adjoining the above de- scribed tract, having a front footage of 100 feet on East Price Street and extending along the West Boundary Line of the Morris Ford tract, 210 feet to the NW corner of a tract belonging to W. E. Brown. Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1409, as amended, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage. Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in regular session convened at Council Ghambers on this the lOth day of July, A.
