AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING
FISCAL YEAR, BEGINNING JULY 1, 1962, AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 1963, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS
AMOUIVTS THEREOF AND REPEALTNG ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREA5, the City Manager of the City of Paris has submitted to
the City Council a propoaed budget of the revenues of said City and the
expenses of conducting the affaira thereof and providi.ng a complete
financial plan for the ensuing fiscal year, beginning July 1, 1962, and
ending June 30, 1963, and which said proposed budget has been compiled
from detailed information obtained from the several departments, divi-
sions and offices of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Manager's pro-
posed budget, a copy of which proposed budget and all supporting sched-
ules have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Paris, and is of
the opinion that the same should be approved and adopted and that a
public heari.ng before the City Council has been provided for as required
by Article V, Section 50, of the Charter of the City of Pa.ris, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCZL,
UF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. Tha.t the proposed budget of the revenues of the City
of Paris and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof, providing
a complete financial plan for the enauing fiscal year beginning July 1,
1962 and ending June 30, 1963, as submitted to the City Council by the
City Manager of said City, be, and the same is in all things adopted
and approved as the budget of all of the current expenses as well as
the fixed charges againet eaid City for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1962, and ending June 30, 1963.
Section 2. That the sum of $853, 437. 00 is hereby appropriated
out of the general fund for the payrnent of operating expenses and capital
outlay of the City government as hereinafter itemized:

Section 3. That the sum of $74, 113. 02 is hereby appropriated out
of the general debt service fund for the purpose of paying the interest
due on general obligation bonds and time warrants, redeeming the serial
bonds as they mature, and creating a sinking fund therefor.
Section 4. The sum of $150, 287. 50 is hereby appropria,ted out of
the Water and Sewer Revenue Bond Fund for the purpose of paying the
accrued interest and making the principal payments as the same mature
on the watEr and sewer revenue bonds, and creating the prescribed con-
tingEnt and reserve funds therefor.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be and remain in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the City Council of
the City of Paris.

meeting held at the City Hall in the City of Paris, this 30th day of
April, 1962.
